Luxurious one-bedroom apartment with loft character.

Distinguished with the “Iconic Award” 2016 from the German Design Council in the “Winner Interior Design” category. The COORDINATION Design Studio has created an extraordinary spatial structure in one of the upper floors of the highest and most distinguished buildings in Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan. In addition to its conceptual design, the scope of the project included the entire spatial and technical planning of its highly complex in-house technology. Certain levels are on an incline, offset against each other, raised or lowered to allow visitors to experience the space in an unexpected way.

Starting from the bare walls, the original three-room floor plan was transformed into a spacious and luxurious one-bedroom apartment that feels like a loft. The L-shaped floor plan clearly separates an open area for friends or family from a purely private zone. At the same time it opens up a panoramic view of the city and the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range. As well as the careful selection of materials, lighting, fitted cupboards and furnishings, custom-made furniture, accessories and design editions were specially custom-made for the apartment. This is complemented with an individually curated selection of contemporary art.

This modern apartment is equipped with the intelligent KNX system from JUNG. Flexible in use: light, blinds and temperature can all be conveniently operated with the F 40 push-button sensors in dark. The classic LS 990 design in aluminium rounds off the electrical installations.
