The Hotel DAS AFFALTERBACH. is a new property under Marriott International’s Autograph Collection brand, situated near Stuttgart. The hospitality concept combines design, wellness and automotive culture within a distinctive architectural design, set amidst natural surroundings.

The architecture and interior design follow a minimalist design language. Generous glass surfaces, open-plan layouts and seamless transitions between the lobby, lounge and dining areas create a calm, modern atmosphere. At the same time, smooth surfaces, dark materials, textile finishes and warm lighting create a homely ambience. The 97 rooms and junior suites combine clean lines with high-quality materials and a sense of spaciousness. The interior design relies on a precisely coordinated palette of materials comprising natural stone, dark woods, matt finishes and soft fabrics. Many areas feel like carefully composed living spaces. The lighting design, in particular, defines the spaces: indirect lighting and strategically placed accents lend the hotel its distinctive, almost cinematic atmosphere. In the restaurant and bar area, the minimalist design continues with open-plan layouts and atmospheric lighting. The concept is complemented by a wellness area featuring a pool, saunas, fitness and relaxation zones, which also consistently carries forward the hotel’s serene design language.

The technical systems have been carefully integrated into the architectural design. JUNG’s KNX technology is used for building control, which can be operated manually via F 50 push-buttons. In addition, components from the LS 990 switch range in matt graphite black have been installed. With their clean lines and matt finish, the control elements blend harmoniously into the minimalist palette of materials and colours in the interior.
