Portus House, Pforzheim | Germany
With Portus House, Alexander Brenner Architekten has implemented an exclusive residential building which is characterised by complex geometry, spacious room layouts, high-quality materials and consistently composed architectural language. The modern new building lies in a park-like property in Pforzheim and evolves its spatial quality from the interplay of architecture, light and landscape.
The building combines closed and open areas into a clearly divided spatial structure. Overhanging roof spaces, large-scale glazing and flowing transitions between the interior and exterior characterise the visual appearance of the building. At the same time, enclosed spaces create different degrees of openness and retreat. Diverse lines of sight in the surrounding garden landscape are thus created as well as quality time spent in all the living areas.
Flowing room transitions and varied sequences of rooms characterise the architectural concept in the interior. Spacious lounge areas are merged into each other and linked together through lines of sight as well as the targeted direction of daylight. The material palette remains consciously reduced. Natural stone, wood and finely coordinated surfaces give the rooms a calm, timeless atmosphere. Individually designed fittings and customised details underline the highly creative requirements of the project.
In keeping with this reserved and superior design concept, switches and sockets from JUNG's LS 990 range are used. The colour white blends into the light wall and ceiling surfaces, the lacquered dark aluminium surface blends into the dark backgrounds while the colour terre sienne pâle (32123) from the colour range of Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® takes up the warm earth and natural stone shades of the interior. The electrical installation thus consistently becomes a part of the overall architectural effect in every detail.
The result is a luxurious residential house which links architectural precision, high-value materials and an extraordinary relationship with the landscape to a representative and timeless composition.

LS 990 in Dark aluminium
A prestigious interior derives its appeal from exclusive effects. The design switches in high-grade metal versions satisfy this standard outstandingly well. Cool stainless steel, aluminium or attractive anthracite, chrome or precious gold plating – they lend a special touch wherever the emphasis is on the extra-special. Two variations of genuine brass complement the portfolio: Classic with a bright, softly polished finish, antique suitable for traditional interiors.
LS 990 in white
Thanks to its high quality and clear shape, the LS 990 switch range has already proved its worth for about 50 years. The classic form of this switch with its narrow frame fits harmoniously into any surroundings. Purist elegance in thermosetting plastic or genuine metal lend this series a touch of class. A wide variety of applications are possible thanks to the wide functional spectrum. Thus, architecturally demanding visions can be consistently put into practice. The single to fivefold frames can be fitted horizontally or vertically.
