Timeless value over time: New criteria for high-end residential

ACRO Seoul Forest is a high-rise residential and commercial complex located in the heart of Seoul. It is a mega-project carried out by DL E&C, one of the major Korean construction companiesm in Korea, in charge of both implementation and contruction. Close to Seoul Forest, there are Multi-cultural complex including Acro Seoul Forest(Two Residential Building), REplace(Retail Shops), Art Center and D Tower(Prime Office). The site where the apartment was built has been constructed under the Han River Renaissance Project, which was conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in the past to revive the construction industry in the Seoul metropolitan area. From the beginning of the project, it has attracted everyones' attention at a glance as a exclusive multi-cultural complex project. The project is named after DL E&C's luxury brand 'ACRO' and nearby urban park area 'Seoul Forest'.

Acro Seoul Forest was built with the aim of a "100-year-old house" that is safe and can be handed down even after 100 years. The building consists of 280 household units from the 5th basement level to the 49th floor above ground. The tower facade design applies delicate traditional patterns (Heritage) that meets the functional and creative heritage of Korea into a modern design. Patterns are repeated in the tower wall to create an image and a feeling of luxury (Timeless) through its dynamic, elegant and refined details. 

Although it is a high-rise structure, it is designed to improve the quality and durability of existing buildings so that residents can safely change their interior space. It is also designed to withstand a 9.0-magnitude earthquake. For easy remodeling, only four pillars in a single household unit are designed to withstand the building, which is quite different from the routine structure of a typical apartment that is not easy to remodel.  Except for the space where columns and vertical pipes pass through and the evacuation space, the remaining space can be freely changed and directed like a detached house. Thanks to this easy remodeling, the structure can be changed to suit residents' preferences over a long period of time, such as changes in their lifestyle, family composition, and interior tastes. In order to reduce noise between floors, floor concrete was laid 4cm thicker than regular apartments and interlayer resilient materials were inserted more than twice the thickness. And the ceiling height is more than twice as high, further enhancing sustainability and convenience for residents.

Thanks to the special design that maximizes the view effect, residents can look out on three sides from the inside, allowing them to enjoy the view of the natural environment such as the Seoul Forest and the Han River nearby. This means that the outer wall acts as a window through the 'artframe' glass, which removes the middle window frame. To secure privacy from being exposed next door, each unit's facade side is turned 20 to 30 degrees, so the view outside is visible, but the interior space of the neighbor's house is not visible. In the case of the lower floors below the 20th floor, a green balcony is installed for a closer view of the Seoul Forest, and an observation bathtub is also installed in the bathroom to fully enjoy the view. The ceiling is also twice as tall as a normal apartment (2.3m) from 60cm up to 1m, providing a more pleasant space. The general floor is 2.9m ceiling, and the second to ninth floors are 3.3m ceiling.

DL E&C aims to create a complete residential/cultural complex that combines culture and art, not just a residential space. The "Cloud Club," a community facility for residents in each building, has sports facilities such as fitness and pilates, banquet halls, club lounges, and guest rooms where small parties such as family gatherings and parties can be held. In the basement, residents can enjoy a variety of recreation areas, including a sauna and an indoor golf practice range.

The furnishings in this exclusive project in Seoul are also of the highest quality: The KNX system from JUNG offers both safety and comfort, while F 40 push-button sensors provide intuitive control.
