Those who renovate, save

JUNG HOME is the system for sustainable and energy-efficient living

Germany lives in its housing stock. Around 95 per cent of residential buildings in Germany were built before 2012. Modernisation is therefore essential in order to improve energy efficiency and make buildings fit for the future. After all, the challenge remains to achieve a virtually climate-neutral building stock by 2050.

The latest survey by Statista from 2021 shows that a particularly large number of buildings date from the years 1950 to 1979. The resulting need for modernisation is correspondingly high. The refurbishment of electrical installations also plays a decisive role here, as outdated systems neither reduce energy consumption nor make it adequately measurable. Ultimately, sustainability is also becoming increasingly important in the field of electrical installations. And this already applies to the substance.

Sustainable living: Energy efficiency in the smart home

A smart home offers convenience and security and can also save energy. With JUNG HOME, residents use electricity and heat more efficiently without sacrificing comfort. No new cables need to be laid for the installation: The existing cables simply continue to be used. JUNG HOME is based on known and familiar technology. It is planned, wired and installed like a conventional 230-volt electrical installation, without devices in the distribution box. This means that many existing buildings fulfil the requirements for a digital infrastructure. Another advantage of JUNG HOME: The system is scalable, from the individual, smart SCHUKO® socket to the completely networked house. JUNG HOME grows with the requirements and takes care of light, shade, energy consumption and temperature.

There is a high potential for savings, especially when it comes to heating. The JUNG HOME room thermostat with display ensures energy-efficient temperature control according to actual requirements. JUNG HOME only heats rooms directly to a comfortable temperature when they are actually used. Residents can remedy this with an individual room control. It limits the room temperature individually and saves heating costs. They never consume more than necessary and ensure greater living comfort. With the JUNG HOME app on the smartphone or directly on the display of the room thermostat, users can easily set heating times and desired temperatures. The smart thermostat lowers the temperature during non-usage times and guarantees that the desired room temperature is reached at the right time.

Save energy with sockets

Is it possible to reduce electricity consumption with the help of sockets? Yes, if they are switchable and measure energy consumption. The JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy enables targeted energy management. The JUNG HOME app shows how much power connected devices consume and how high the current energy costs are. Potential savings are quickly identified because users can identify power guzzlers and replace them with more economical devices. All JUNG HOME sockets can be switched via the JUNG HOME push-buttons, the app and on the socket itself. Users simply switch stand-by loads off when they don't need them, for example at night or on holiday.

Automate light and shade

JUNG HOME motion detectors bring energy efficiency to lighting control. They switch the light according to movement and brightness-dependent only when it is needed. Users configure them in the JUNG HOME app according to individual needs: Run-on time, brightness or the linking of the lighting in coordinated scenes are easily adjustable.

In winter, shutters are suitable as cold protection and thermal insulation. With JUNG HOME, users control the shading conveniently and as required. The push-buttons from the JUNG HOME push-button system look like conventional blind push-buttons, but offer numerous intelligent additional functions such as time programs or integration into scenes. They are programmed very conveniently via the JUNG HOME app: set automatic operating times, operate the sun protection depending on the room temperature or link the shading in coordinated scenes. In conjunction with the JUNG HOME gateway and Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, blinds and shutters can also be controlled by voice command.

Low installation effort, measurable savings

With JUNG HOME, the specialist trade offers solutions that save energy and heating costs, increase living comfort and contribute to climate protection. Demand-orientated and efficient heating control and intelligent building technology help to save energy and reduce environmental pollution. But the insert of recycled products also helps to reduce your own ecological footprint. More information about JUNG HOME at www.jung.group/jh

Switches made from recycled material

JUNG has been focussing on the insert of recycled plastics in production for many years. The plastic design covers and design frames of the A CREATION, A 550 and A FLOW switch ranges in matt anthracite already consist of 95% recycled material in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14021, helping to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste. The recyclate consists of processed and recycled plastic waste. In the recycling process, the residual materials are collected, sorted, cleaned and then mechanically shredded. This material is then melted down to produce the recyclate. Energy from hydropower is inserted into this process to ensure consistently sustainable production. The frames, covers for JUNG HOME push-buttons and sockets produced in this way cover a wide range of applications.
