FARBDURST
Pop-Up-Installation by JUNG at Fuorisalone 2022
Between a cabinet of curiosities and a colour explosion: The temporary installation FARBDURST at Fuorisalone 2022 in the Brera Design District in Milan immerses visitors in the world of JUNG with an unconventional and bold reinterpretation of the theme of colour.
The room furniture, the shape and colour of which are reminiscent of the legendary designs of the 1980s, also plays with the contrast of perception. Clear geometric figures overlap in position and scale as in a mood board. The result is a palpable colour relief that cleverly highlights those objects that are often used unseen in everyday life: switches and sockets. Here too, the colour spectrum of the "Polychromie Architecturale" of the original Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colours sets the tone, but "quenches" the thirst for more in conjunction with names such as "Limoncello", "Bellini" and "Negroni". You can almost smell the fruity notes of the light moods: orange, apple green, cherry red, lemon yellow.
However, the imaginary space of the effect of colour on our mood and feelings also radiates from here as a source of energy for the diversity of human emotions - thirsty to absorb the power of colour as impressions of joy, emotion and life.
The geometric shape variety is continued in a reduced colour spectrum in the lounge. The contemplative atmosphere creates the necessary counterpoint to the colourful diversity of the chamber of curiosities. Here it is not the colours, shapes and associations that define the space, but carefully placed light spots.
For many generations, designers have focused on the fascinating potential of language, the creation of space, and the mechanisms of colour, for the essence of colour unfolds only through contemplation. The perception of colour is always also the interaction of light and body colour. Plasticity works through differences in brightness, texturing through light and material, and brightness and darkness define spatial accents. The composition of the light allows certain colours to be emphasised or to disappear altogether. ERCO's lighting concept plays with this effect of visual perception known as metamerism. Wireless controllable LED spotlights change the colour of the light with a colour change of 16 million possibilities. This creates a special interplay of light and colour, of overemphasis and weakening.
JUNG invites visitors to enter into dialogue surrounded by colours - via a cheerful red, an enthusiastic orange, a spontaneous yellow or a romantic pink - in the FARBDURST installation in Milan or at upcoming trade fairs, events or in the JUNG showrooms. You too can quench your thirst for colour!
