Die Schalterserie, die speziell für den asiatischen Markt entwickelt wurde, zählt 2026 zu den Gewinnern des Designplus Award by Light + Building in der Kategorie User Experience & Integration+. Mit dem Award prämiert die Messe Frankfurt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stylepark Magazin innovative Produkte, zukunftsweisende Systeme und Ideen aus dem gesamten Produktspektrum der Weltleitmesse für Licht und Gebäudetechnik.

Bewertet wird dabei nicht ein einzelnes Produkt, sondern die Qualität des Innovationsmanagements, also Strukturen, Prozesse und Unternehmenskultur. JUNG hat die daraus resultierenden über 100 Prüfkriterien bestanden und zählt damit zu den TOP 100 der innovativsten Unternehmen. 

Die Abdeckungen und Rahmen der Serie A in Anthrazit wurden mit dem German Design Award in der Kategorie „Excellent Product Design – Building and Elements“ ausgezeichnet. Sie bestehen zu 95 % aus Rezyklat und zeigen, wie ressourcenschonend und funktional anspruchsvoll moderne Gebäudetechnik sein kann. Die Jury würdigt insbesondere die konsequente Umsetzung strenger Umweltstandards und die Verbindung aus zeitloser Ästhetik, Funktionalität und nachhaltigem Materialeinsatz. 

Die Schalterkollektion JUNG UNIQUE x Ippolito Fleitz Group wurde mit dem German Design Award in der Kategorie „Excellent Product Design – Building and Elements“ ausgezeichnet. Die Zusammenarbeit verbindet funktionales Design mit ausdrucksstarker Typografie und grafischer Identität, inspiriert von ikonischen Songtexten. In enger Kooperation mit der Ippolito Fleitz Group entstand eine Kollektion, die Schalter zu charakterstarken Kommunikationselementen macht. Besonders hervorgehoben hat die Jury die Möglichkeit, über das JUNG GRAPHIC TOOL individuelle Bedienoberflächen zu gestalten und damit eine zusätzliche kommunikative Ebene im Raum zu schaffen.

Die JUNG Gründervilla wurde mit dem Architects' Darling Award 2025 in Silber in der Kategorie „Referenzobjekte“ ausgezeichnet. Der Award würdigt das Zusammenspiel aus denkmalgerechter Sanierung, moderner Erweiterung und einer klaren architektonischen Haltung. Seit der umfassenden Umgestaltung fungiert die Villa als Ort für Begegnung, Austausch und Zusammenarbeit – ein Beispiel dafür, wie historische Bausubstanz in ein zeitgemäßes Nutzungskonzept überführt werden kann. Die Auszeichnung unterstreicht die gestalterische Qualität des Projekts und seine besondere Bedeutung als Referenzobjekt für Architektur und Planung.

Die ICONIC AWARDS prämieren seit Jahren wegweisende Projekte, wie zum Beispiel kluge Umbau- und Neubaulösungen. Wir freuen uns, diesen Preis als „Winner“ für den Umbau und die Erweiterung der JUNG Gründervilla erhalten zu haben. Die Sanierung der historischen Villa aus dem Jahr 1928 wie auch die Erweiterung um einen modernen Pavillon wurden von NGA Nehse & Gerstein Architekten BDA realisiert. Heute fungiert die Villa als multifunktionales Büro-, Event- und Wohngebäude.

The expert jury of the German Design Award has honoured the JUNG founder's villa with the "Winner" award in the "Excellent Architecture" category. The jury based its decision on the high level of design of the remodelling. The villa was converted and extended in 2019 as part of a competition for young architectural agencies - today it serves as a meeting and service centre.

JUNG received the Architects' Choice "Best Workspaces" award for its collaboration with GRAFT as part of JUNG UNIQUE. The JUNG UNIQUE by GRAFT switch collection is an ode to urban life and individuality. With JUNG UNIQUE, switches and push-buttons become individual communication elements in the room. "Best Workspaces" is the first international architecture prize for intelligent work environments. The prize has been awarded by the Callwey publishing house since 2022.

JUNG manufactures the plastic design covers and design frames of the A CREATION, A 550 and A FLOW switch ranges in anthracite from 95% recycled material. The use of the so called recyclate helps to protect the environment without compromising functionality and quality. The bdia jury selected this design as the winner in the category ‘Sustainability’.

As an international trend show, the Designplus Award by Light + Building rewards innovative products, future-oriented systems or ideas from the entire product spectrum of the world's foremost exhibition for lighting and building technology. The Messe Frankfurt gives out the awards in collaboration with Stylepark. From over a hundred entries, the JUNG HOME system won through in the Smart + Connectivity PLUS category. JUNG HOME makes every building smart - without a server or the internet. From the socket with energy measurement function to the room thermostat, all the components communicate wirelessly with each other via the secure, world-wide Bluetooth® Mesh radio standard.

The German Design Award is one of the world's most renowned design competitions. Every year, the German Design Council honours outstanding contributions that set the trend for the global design scene. In 2024, LS TOUCH from JUNG was honoured with the important “Winner” award in the Excellent Product Design category of the German Design Awards. LS TOUCH is an elegant, digital touchscreen in switch format that combines the intuitive operation of KNX functions for smart home control with visualization.

As part of the Heinze Architects' Darling Awards® 2023, JUNG was honoured with the Cradle-2-Cradle Challenge Award in Gold. With this award, the jury rewarded the cradle-to-cradle certification of numerous JUNG solutions: Over 50 individual products have successfully undergone C2C certification. JUNG is therefore currently the only manufacturer worldwide with C2C-certified KNX modules.

Best Product-Innovation Technology! At the Heinze Architects' Darling Awards 2023, the smart home system JUNG HOME was awarded gold. The innovative system is based on a conventional 230-volt installation and works without special cables, servers or the internet. A jury of renowned architects and media experts selected JUNG HOME as the "Architects' Darling".

The Archiproducts Design Awards honor products that are characterised by a unique concept as well as special innovation, sustainability and design. The JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket in LS 990 was chosen as the winner in the category “System Components and Materials” by an international jury made up of architects, creative directors and personalities from the world of architecture and design media.

The "Architects' Choice" award is presented as part of the "Häuser des Jahres/Houses of the Year" competition and rewards the most innovative product solutions for professional house construction. In a public online vote, the JUNG HOME smart home system was chosen by architects and building owners as the "Architects' Choice 2023" in the building technology category.

Design quality, choice of material, usability: the JUNG LS TOUCH impressed the jury of the Design Plus Awards. LS TOUCH combines intuitive operation of the KNX functions with visualisation, and is the new smart room controller from JUNG. A prestigious technical jury selected the best product solutions from numerous submissions and awarded the Innovation Prize of the ISH 2023 to the KNX room controller LS TOUCH.

Since 2012, the German Design Council, the expert for brand and design in Germany, bestows the German Design Award every year. Commissioned by the highest authority to represent new developments in the German design industry. This year, the German Design Award Special 2023 took place. The top-class international jury honoured JUNG HOME with its professional smart home technology in the category Excellent Product Design / Building and Elements with a Special Mention.

JUNG has been a committed partner for many years supporting the interests of architects. Since 2021, all these activities have been bundled under the motto JUNG loves architecture and communicated via a common graphic appearance on the website, in newsletters and an independent social media appearance. In 2023 JUNG received a special mention of the German Design Award for its excellent communication design and brand identity. 

Since 2018 the Stylepark Selected Award features new products in the high end design and architecture field. JUNG HOME convinced the judges to become one of the winners, because of its low installation effort and its many different possibilities of use. The award proveides an overview of the current design development and is an important guide for architects, designers and design lovers.

Best video I Company presentation! At the Heinze Architects' Darling Awards 2022, the JUNG corporate video won the Jury Award in Silver. The winners of the jury awards were determined by a high-calibre team of media and communication experts and renowned representatives of international architectural firms. With the award, the jury rewarded the particularly successful company presentation as part of the JUNG website content.

With the Design Plus Award, the German Design Council honours products that combine trendsetting design with innovative technology and ecology. Among 112 competitors, the JUNG HOME SCHUKO^® socket prevailed as one of five "Best of" products. It is part of a new smart home system that networks the home intelligently and securely without a server or internet connection. It is switchable, measures energy and has many other features. The system is based on the Bluetooth^® Mesh standard.

As part of the architecture competition "Houses of the Year", the product prize "Solution of the Year" was awarded for the fourth time. The LS 1912 toggle switch in the colours matt graphite black and matt snow white won 1st prize in the category "Building Technology". The "Houses of the Year" competition has been held by the German Architecture Museum and Callwey since 2011 and rewards innovative product ideas for professional house building.

In this year as well, a large effort in research and development has paid off. For 2022/2023, JUNG can continue to use the sought-after "Innovative through research" seal and shows that research and innovation are important elements of our business culture.

Since 2014, the awarding body (Stifterverband) has honoured researching businesses with the "Innovative through research" seal for their special responsibility that they accept for the state and society.

Best Workspaces is the international architecture award for intelligent worlds of work. With the award, the publishers Callwey and their partners recognise the best workplace interiors judged by an independent jury of experts. With JUNG UNIQUE, switches and push-buttons become an individual communication element in the room. For this, JUNG was awarded, uniquely in the "Technical Equipment" category, "Solution of the Year".

Since 2016, worldwide outstanding design performance has been recognised with the Archiproducts Design Awards. From 750 competitors throughout the world, the JUNG LS 990 switch in matt graphite black succeeded in the "System Components and Materials" category as the winner. As a result, after the USB socket, the classic switch is already the 2nd JUNG product that has been selected for this prestigious award.

In the "Houses of the Year" architectural competition, the product prize "Solutions of the Year" was awarded. In the "Innovation & Technology" category, the SCHUKO^® socket with USB port received the 1st prize. The competition has been held every year since 2011 by the "German Architecture Museum" and Callwey and honours the best projects in the German-speaking area.

Best Social Media Offering! The JUNG Instagram channel @junglovesarchitecture has been awarded gold at the Heinze Architects‘ Darling Awards 2021. @junglovesarchitecture provides regular information about current architecture and interior design projects, activities and industry events. For this reason, a jury of notable representatives of international architect firms and communications experts elected the channel as the "Architects‘ Darling".

With JUNG UNIQUE, switches, push-buttons and dimmers become an individual communication element in the room. The design tool gives creatives the possibility to design operating elements for specific projects. Depending on the materiality of the switch range, symbols, images, patterns or text are applied using colour printing or laser engraving. In the bdia ausgesucht! competition of the Association of German Interior Designers (bdia), JUNG Unique occupied 2nd place in the online voting.

With the Archiproducts Design Awards, innovative products are given awards that stand out both with a unique concept and also particular innovation, sustainability and design. From 750 competitors throughout the world, the JUNG USB socket in the LS 990 frame succeeded in the "System Components and Materials" category as the winner. The winners were selected by an international jury of creatives from the fields of architecture, design, photography and art.

With bdia ausgesucht!, the Association of German Interior Designers (BDIA in German) annually showcases products that feature usability, sustainability and innovation through particular configuration and design. In the 2020 competition, the JUNG SCHUKO^® sockets with integrated USB ports were successful against 44 competitors and came out in first place in the online voting. The participants in the online voting also rewarded the versatile application possibilities of the product with this award.

Best product innovation technology! The JUNG SCHUKO^® sockets with integrated USB ports are striking with their high charging rate and supply new energy safely without occupying the socket with a charger. For this they were awarded Gold at the Heinze Architects‘ Darling Awards 2020. With this special award, a jury of well-known representatives of international architect firms and communications experts recognised the successful combination of technical innovation and design.

Design for everyone! Plug & Light was given the award in the "Bathing Comfort for Generations" product competition. With this distinction, the Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima (ZVSHK - Central Association Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning) emphasises products that combine aesthetics with barrier-free functionality for the bathroom to a particular degree. The award was made as part of the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt this year. From over 40 products, the international technical jury selected five winners.

Modern inspiration: the LS 1912 range combines the intuitive toggle mechanics from the past with the convenience of modern electrotechnology. The puristic switches with the striking operating element was awarded the ICONIC AWARDS 2019, Innovative Interior "Best of Best" by the German Design Council. The jury praised the reduced and at the same time most elegant design as well as the high-quality workmanship.

In the "Houses of the Year 2019" architectural competition, the JUNG LS 990 switch range was awarded "Product of the Year". The flexible range offers attractive solutions for equipping with smart building technology – whether for new-builds or existing buildings. The competition has been held every year since 2011 by the "German Architecture Museum" and Callwey publishers and honours the best projects in the German-speaking area.

The focus of the "ICONIC AWARD: Innovative Architecture" lies in the holistic design and the interplay of the systems in the context of the architecture. In this connection, the new JUNG LS 1912 switch design was honoured by the prestigious technical jury as the "Winner" in the "Product" category. Based on the JUNG toggle switch of the early years, the LS 1912 design range turns the switching mechanics into a new experience. JUNG transfers the many years of experience in metalworking into an elegant selection of materials – from aluminium, via stainless steel and brass to chrome.

The Institute for Universal Design (IUD) regularly holds the Universal Design competition. Experts and consumers evaluate newly developed products and services based on criteria for barrier-free usability. In the Universal Design, the colour scheme is given a particular role. High-contrast colours improve the perception and thus provide more safety in daily life. With the 63 colours of the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colour system, an easily discernible and at the same time stylish design of switches, sockets and many other devices in the electrical installation can be implemented in an ideal way. For this, the LS 990 switch range was honoured by the jury with the Universal Design Award 2018.

The German Design Award is one of the most well-recognised design competitions in the world and enjoys a good reputation well beyond expert groups. High-calibre submissions from product and communication design that are groundbreaking for the international design landscape are honoured annually by the Design Council. The German Design Award 2018 with the high prize of "Winner" was received by the Smart Visu Server from JUNG. The server visualises the status of smart home building systems on mobile and fixed devices and is characterised by its user-friendly operating concept.

As an international architecture and design competition, the Iconic Award honours outstanding architecture projects and innovative interior and product design. Both nationally and internationally, the awards are held in high regard. The independent, expert jury of representatives from architecture, interior design, design and brand communication decided who should be granted the Iconic Awards 2016. For the fourth time in a row, JUNG was able to celebrate the coveted award. The flush-mounted LS ZERO switch range was honoured in the category "Product / Building Technologies" with the highest award "Best of Best".

With the title of German Design Award, Special Mention, the Design Council honours works whose design has partial aspects or solutions that are particularly well done. The jury decided that the JUNG video and audio indoor stations with Siedle system technology were worthy of special mention in this year. They stand for high functionality and ease of operation. High-quality displays and loudspeakers with excellent sound quality ensure optimal communication at the door.

The second award by the Design Council, likewise "Winner" in the "Building and Elements" category goes to the LS Zero switch range. With its narrow frame, LS ZERO integrates itself not just stylishly but also flush in all surroundings. Switches and sockets unite with wall or furniture in a virtually flowing transition. And LS Zero also impresses technically: from light, temperature, blinds and music to multimedia and door communication to smart home solutions., over 200 functions can be implemented.

The jury of the Design Council has decided: the Smart Control 7 operating panel from JUNG receives the coveted German Design Award 2017. From a total of 4,058 submissions from 52 nations, the Smart Control 7 impressed with its high design quality. With the elegant panel for wall installation, the complete variety of modern building technology including door communication can be operated using a smart touch panel.

With the product prize, the architecture trade publication DETAIL honours innovative building products, systems and materials. For this, the criteria are principally design, innovative character, functionality, resource efficiency and ability to integrate the products.
In 2017, the well-known technical jury together with the readers gave awards to a total of six products. In the category "Interior design, light and furniture", LS ZERO received both the jury prize and the readers’ prize. "With the LS ZERO, JUNG has presented an aesthetically extremely appealing switch range that impressed the jury particularly with its flush mounting and the corresponding reduced optics and minimalist design", according to the technical jury in their statement.

Under the heading "Learn from the best", the Bundesverband SmartHome Initiative Deutschland e.V. presents the SmartHome Deutschland Award annually. The winners in the "Best product, system or solution" category are the ZigBee^® wall transmitters from JUNG in this year. With them, intelligent luminaires can be controlled via wireless very easily on the basis of ZigBee^® Light Link. Teach lamps, stick on transmitters, create the lighting mood – it doesn't get any smarter. The prize winners were honoured in the Red City Hall in Berlin on May 30 2017.

The German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Its goal: discovering, presenting and recognising unique design trends. High-calibre submissions from product design that are groundbreaking for the international design landscape are therefore showcased annually. The German Design Award initiated in 2012 is one of the most well-recognised design competitions in the world and enjoys a good reputation well beyond expert groups. With the title of "Special Mention", the jury honoured the LS 990 switch range in the innovative colour dark aluminium in this year. The warm, lightly shimmering, dark grey tone integrates elegantly into the interior design and impresses with a pleasant feel.

In this year the Archiproducts Design Awards (ADA) were awarded For the first time – and JUNG is one of the first winners of this new design competition with the LS ZERO. In total, 490 products from 15 countries were nominated. The expert jury, consisting of members of the 25 most influential architectural offices in the world, selected the best of the year from them. In the "Best of Tech" category, the flush-mounted LS ZERO switch design was awarded the "Best of Category 2016".

The German Design Council - one of the most important competence centres for design in the world - presents the Iconic Awards annually and honours the "icons of our time" with this international architecture and design competition. An independent jury of representatives from architecture, interior design, design and brand communication decided who should be granted the award. The JUNG Smart Control 7 operating panel was awarded "Winner" in the “Product” category.

JUNG präsentiert mit dem neuen Schalterprogramm LS ZERO die perfekte Designkomponente für Puristen. Das konsequent flächenbündige Designprogramm LS ZERO erzielte in der Kategorie „Product“ die höchste Prämierung „Best of Best“.

In this year, JUNG was able to celebrate the Plus X Award five times – the innovation prize for technology and lifestyle. An independent technical jury of industry journalists and industry experts decides every year on the best products. The distinction of "Best product 2016/2017" in the Plus X Award went to the flush-mounted LS ZERO switch range that also received an award for the aspects "high-quality, design and functionality".

Design at its best: the Smart Visu Server impresses across the board. In addition to the Plus X Award seal of quality for the aspects "innovation, high quality, operating convenience and functionality", the JUNG Smart Visu Server was also awarded the "Best Product 2016/2017" by the independent jury.

Alongside the award for brands and products, Germany's trades and specialist dealers also chose JUNG as the "Specialised Trade Brand of the Year 2016". With this special award, the Plus X Award honours brands that support the trades and retail with their concepts in a particularly good partnership. With the "Specialised Trade Brand of the Year 2016“ seal of quality, a total of five brands in different product groups are honoured. The high participation of over 4,600 valid, submitted votes indicates the high value enjoyed by a cooperative working relationship between retail, trades and responsible brand management.

The Plus X Awards were presented at the Plus X Award night in the previous German parliament in Bonn on 23 June 2016. The world's largest innovation prize for technology, sport and lifestyle showcased newly developed technologies, extraordinary designs and intelligent and simple operating concepts. A well-known and independent technical jury of industry journalists and personalities from the sector decides on the best products each year.

JUNG was awarded the "Most Innovative Brand Award 2016" in the electric and media technology product group as the most innovative brand 2016. This top award at the Plus X Awards is given to companies whose products stand holistically for innovativeness, functionality and quality.

The task of the Smart Control 7 is to network modern building technology, to operate it centrally and to visualise states such as functions. The control panel takes on the control of various systems for house automation. All available applications are clearly displayed and can be called up directly by tapping. Quality, design, operating convenience and functionality were honoured by the jury with the Plus X Award 2016.

On the occasion of the light+building 2016, the architecture sector trade magazines AIT and xia Intelligente Architektur held the Architecture + Technology Innovation Award for the 17th time. In the "Product with High Architectural Quality" category, the flush-mounted LS ZERO switch range received a "special mention".

The decision of the jury was: "the LS Zero modular system is a design range of switches and sockets that can be absolutely flush-mounted in wall and furniture surfaces and can be fitted onto conventional flush-mounting wall boxes. Special plaster frames enable an exact fit into plaster, dry walls or wood surfaces. The system received a special mention because the discrete design fits homogenously into its surroundings and thus forms a unit with the surrounding room".

The Iconic Awards honour the "Design Icons of our Time" in the first international architecture and design competition. An independent jury of representatives from architecture, interior design, design and brand communication decides who should be granted the Iconic Awards. In this year, two products from JUNG received awards at the same time. In the category "Product", the LS 990 switch classic in dark matt lacquered aluminium dark received the award "Best of Best". The new video and audio indoor stations were awarded “Winner”. The presentation took place on 5 October 2015 in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.

On February 13th, 2015, the German Design Council presented its prestigious German Design Awards in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Based on ten competition categories, 30 design experts evaluated more than 2,250 submissions from all over the world. Because of the high quality of the submissions, an additional Special Mention honour was awarded. It is to appreciate works the design of which has partial aspects or solutions that are particularly well done. The classic JUNG LS 990 switch in the unique matt colours of the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colour system was awarded a prize in the Building and Energy category.

Since 2014, it has been a case of "a classic shows its colours". JUNG is exclusively offering its classic LS 990 switch in the 63 unique matt Les Couleurs^® Le Corbusier colours worldwide. This innovation was distinguished with the highest award as the "Best of Best" in the "Product" category in the German Design Council Iconic Awards 2014. The presentation was on 6 October in BMW Welt in Munich. 

In February 2014, the German Design Council presented its prestigious German Design Awards in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Based on ten competition categories, 30 design experts judged and evaluated more than 1,900 submissions from all over the world from the areas of product and communication design. Because of the high quality of the submissions, an additional Special Mention honour was awarded. It is to appreciate works the design of which has partial aspects or solutions that are particularly well done. In the Industrial Goods and Materials category, this special honour was bestowed on the classic JUNG LS 990 switch in genuine brass design. Finished and processed by hand in Germany, the jury was impressed by the design and materiality of the classic, antique and dark versions.

From traditional material to elegant switch design: the exquisite properties of brass have inspired JUNG to make a new interpretation of their classic LS 990 switch. Genuine brass, produced by hand, in the three shades of classic, antique and dark make up the new metal version of the well-known classic. On 07 October 2013 the design was honoured with the “Iconic Award” 2013 by the German Design Council in the “Product” category. The competition specifically directs the focus to the elementary importance of the interaction between individual disciplines of architecture, design and communication.

The Plus X Award stands for brand quality. JUNG was awarded the highest award in this year: "Most Innovative Brand Award" in the electric and media technology product group. In addition, with the seal of "Best Product of the Year 2012", two innovations from JUNG were awarded at the same time. The compact JUNG Smart Control is the "Room Controller of the Year". It combines visualisation and operation of KNX room functions with the user-friendliness of a smartphone. Furthermore, the vitaLED controller with Facility Pilot received the "Lighting Controller of the Year" award. The RGBW light system from BRUMBERG is conveniently operated using the JUNG Facility Pilot and can thus be incorporated into the KNX building technology. In both cases, the technical jury recognised the innovation, convenience of operation and design of new developments and in addition awarded the prize in the categories "High Quality" and "Convenience of Operation" to the new JUNG KNX rotary sensor.
