Medical practice, Cannes | France
When the visit to the doctor becomes a spa experience: In Cannes, interior designer Frédéric Namur has transformed a medical practice into an impressive wellness salon. The practice rooms in the Palais Miramar, a building from the 1930s situated directly on the Promenade da la Croisette, have been renovated in such a way that their new appearance no longer brings to mind medical treatment but instead relaxation and well-being, in line with the basic idea of "Healing Architecture". This is achieved on the one hand by enabling a clear view of the sea and access to a private terrace, and on the other by an extremely high-quality and aesthetic design with a hotel character.
Each room invites the patient, who feels more like a guest, to immerse themselves in an individual atmosphere. Visitors are welcomed in a cool ambience, surrounded by white marble and brass. The waiting room in muted olive and beige tones with soft materials and surfaces such as wood and velvet ensures a comfortable feel-good atmosphere, while the walls and ceilings are decorated with high-quality cladding and wallpapers with palm-tree images. Golden accents on the custom-made furniture as well as the high-quality JUNG light switches and sockets made of brass round off the luxurious ambience. The gold-coloured highlights run harmoniously like a thread through the entire interior design of all the rooms, from the treatment and waiting rooms to the toilets. The design of the treatment rooms is invigorating and soothing at the same time thanks to natural materials in brown tones and a floral wallpaper pattern. The patient is on a journey – something that is particularly evident in the design of the waiting room, which is reminiscent of transport carriages of past decades.
The LS 990 switch series provides stylish and convertible highlights
Just as elegant and clean as the modern colours, furniture and materials is the JUNG LS 990 switch range, which supports the interior concept as an important part of the design. The LS switch series from JUNG stands for elegance and functional diversity. The LS 990 range is an innovative all-rounder – as the LS 990 switch or socket with a characteristic narrow frame, as the flush-mounted LS ZERO in furniture or walls, or as a socket with USB chargers thanks to new technical upgrades. With their trendy designer look, the switches – used in practice in brass, dark and light grey surfaces – complement the stylish interior. Frédéric Namur makes targeted use of the possibilities of the LS series and integrates it into his design concept in various different ways – the brass version as an eye-catcher in the entrance and waiting-room areas, a dark finish for the treatment room, and a light grey version for niches and furniture. The variety of the LS series is exploited to the full, especially with the LS ZERO switch design integrated into the waiting-room furniture. The LS 990 offers uniform design for versatile tasks – universal and changeable.

The classic among the flat switches Thanks to its high quality and clear shape, the LS 990 switch range has already proved its worth for about 50 years. The classic form of this switch with its narrow frame fits harmoniously into any surroundings. Purist elegance in thermosetting plastic or genuine metal lend this series a touch of class. A wide variety of applications are possible thanks to the wide functional spectrum. Thus, architecturally demanding visions can be consistently put into practice.
