The JUNG weather station controls shading systems according to weather conditions and protects external shutters and awnings. The coordinated sensors and converters can also be connected to the JUNG HOME smart home system.

Three complementary JUNG sensors and four converters are available to provide comprehensive protection. The sensors record weather data in real time and send signals to the corresponding converters, which transmit them to the actuators of the shading systems. Depending on the selected functionality, the weather station optimises comfort inside the building and supports the longevity of the shading systems.


Sensors and converters for different scenarios
The components of the weather station can be used individually or in combination in any conventional electrical installation. Via the converter “wind”, which is supplied with weather data by the wind sensor, actuators control electrically operated shading systems exposed to wind. This reduces the risk of storm damage to components that have not been retracted. Via the actuators controlled by the sun sensor and the converter “sun / twilight”, shading can be extended in intense sunlight and retracted again when brightness decreases. This can lower the indoor temperature on hot days and protect sensitive furniture and plants. Using both sensors together with the converter “sun / wind”, wind protection and automated shading can also be combined. The rain sensor detects moisture and sends the corresponding information to the converter with rain sensor, allowing textile shading, for example, to be retracted via actuators.

Smart weather protection with JUNG HOME
JUNG HOME is based on the conventional 230-volt electrical installation. From the smart socket and lighting through to weather-controlled external shutters, JUNG HOME components communicate wirelessly and encrypted via Bluetooth^® Mesh. The modular smart home system can be retrofitted without structural alterations. With JUNG HOME mini actuators or JUNG HOME Pucks, the smart weather station can also be easily retrofitted in existing buildings.
