Hotel Amberton Green Spa, Druskininkai | Lithuania
Druskininkai is located in the south of Lithuania and known for its saline springs and the health-enhancing effects they have. That is also how this town, with a population of 15,000, got its name, as “druskas” is “salt” in Lithuanian. This town was already designated as a spa in the 18th century, with the first sanatorium built there in the 19th century. The Amberton Green Spa, a new luxury lodge in Druskininkai specialising in spa, wellness and health treatments, was designed by the young Arches firm of architects from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The architecture of this resort fits well into the idyllic woodland and natural background of this spa town and reflects the motif of the dwarf scots pine – a shrub-like tree that is typical for the region and almost a landmark of the town – in abstract form.
This elegant and contemporary building has 79 apartments. Its wellness area includes an indoor swimming pool with sauna, a fitness area and 20 treatment rooms for various applications. The building also has its own restaurant and a childcare area. The services and applications at the Amberton Green Spa are primarily aimed at guests who suffer from sleep disorders and chronic fatigue. To do this, the guest rooms are equipped with intelligent mattresses for assessing sleep quality. The rooms also have special circadian lighting systems and sound equipment for playing therapeutically musical sounds that support the natural resting and waking rhythms of the body.
A KNX Smart Home System from JUNG is installed in the background to control the various technical components in a convenient and energy-saving way. The intuitive room control works by means of F40 push-buttons in the LS 990 design. In their dark version, they fit into the elegant and natural interior design language of the new building, perfectly and unobtrusively fulfilling their function. In this way, JUNG ultimately helps to provide guests with a holistic setting where body, mind and soul are in harmony.
