DORNBRACHT x JUNG: One surface. Two brands.

A common surface for switches and fittings

Two strong brands. A common interface.
Through their new collaboration, DORNBRACHT and JUNG are combining their design expertise under the motto "Signature Design. Crafted in Finishes". From March 2026, both manufacturers will offer a consistent design for architecture and interiors. Launching at Light + Building 2026 is a bronze tone: a brushed real-metal surface that visually and tactilely connects JUNG’s switch ranges with DORNBRACHT’s fittings. Additional common surfaces will be added to the portfolio in the future.

Added value: Consistency rather than compromise
Architects and interior designers often face the challenge of combining different trades and manufacturers to create a harmonious overall picture. Especially in the bathroom and kitchen, and increasingly in other areas of the home, fixtures, switches, fittings and luminaires come together, often with similar but uncoordinated surfaces. This is precisely the area in which DORNBRACHT and JUNG's collaboration comes into play: a uniform surface simplifies planning, enhances design quality, and establishes a visible sense of consistency within the room. Both companies are focusing on expanding a network for cross-manufacturer, holistic design – an approach that JUNG has embraced for years through collaborations with Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier®, for example, and which is now being further developed in partnership with DORNBRACHT, a surface specialist.

"When different competencies come together, quality is created at the interfaces. This is exactly where we see the value of manufacturer cooperation – in the precise interplay of material, production and design."
Deniz Turgut, Marketing Manager at JUNG

Metal as a defining design element
Metal has a particularly strong influence on the character of a space. Brushed surfaces in bronze, brass or copper tones add depth, warmth and value to interiors. They are currently replacing smooth, neutral standard surfaces, enabling a differentiated, long-lasting design across different style worlds. Both companies have a long-standing tradition of high-quality metal processing. As a luxury manufacturer, DORNBRACHT has many years of expertise in developing and refining high-quality metal surfaces, relying on precise processes such as PVD technology to achieve exact colour nuances and high durability. JUNG too has deep-rooted expertise in metal processing. As a premium manufacturer of modern building technology, the company has its origins in metal craftsmanship and produces switches and sockets made of real metal to the highest standard. Elaborate manufacturing processes, manual work steps and an understanding of the unique characteristics of each material are what give the products their quality – and make metal a consciously used, shape-defining element at DORNBRACHT as well as at JUNG. To ensure an absolutely uniform appearance, the LS 990 switches from JUNG are coated at the DORNBRACHT plant and thus precisely matched to the surfaces of the fittings.

"Surfaces are more than just a detail – they shape the perception and value of a room. Our collaboration represents the highest standards in terms of materials and production, creating a harmonious overall picture that elevates architecture and interiors to new heights."
Caroline Schmitt, DORNBRACHT Management

LS Bronze: the new concrete product launch
A novelty in interior design: With their real-metal copper-tone surfaces, DORNBRACHT and JUNG now offer a shared surface finish. For JUNG, LS Bronze is a new addition to the LS Design series. For DORNBRACHT, the surface corresponds to the well-known brushed bronze version in terms of name, colour and texture. The result is an authentic, identical interface across brands for switches and fittings. LS Bronze is available at market launch for a clearly defined product range. Further shared surfaces and metal colours are already in the pipeline and will be launched at Milan Design Week 2026.

The collaboration between DORNBRACHT and JUNG represents a new approach to design, according to which products from different sectors are presented as part of a coordinated whole rather than individual objects. With the motto 'Signature Design. Crafted in Finishes', both companies are promoting material-conscious design, clear planning and high-quality "Made in Germany" architecture.
