Quality - Made in Germany

Products and systems from JUNG are appreciated worldwide as a guarantee for reliable high quality. Developed and produced in the works in Schalksmühle and Lünen, JUNG products unify innovation, functionality, long life and aesthetics. With production in Germany, JUNG focuses on sustainable development and manufacturing processes, short logistics pathways for suppliers and energy-efficient production. Precision in the manual processing and high design quality ensure that the products are high-quality and robust. A long production life is important to us. The complete lifecycle of the architecture and the building products used in them is moving more and more strongly into the consciousness of users and likewise influences our production and our products.

Progress through research

The BSFZ seal
JUNG is pleased about the award of the BSFZ seal by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The seal underlines our innovation competence, faithful to our motto of progress through research. Research and development are central components of our company culture.
Research seal: innovative through research
In this year as well, a large effort in research and development has paid off. For 2022/2023, JUNG can continue to use the sought-after "Innovative through research" seal and shows that research and innovation are important elements of our business culture. Since 2014, the awarding body (Stifterverband) has honoured researching businesses with the "Innovative through research" seal for their special responsibility that they accept for the state and society.

Quality in every detail

JUNG is characterised by a unique depth in product quality. We carefully specify each individual component, no matter how small it may be. The result: durable mechanics and functional solutions at the highest quality level.
The switch
As a visible element, the light switch connects the electrical installation with the room. It must therefore meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. The eye-catching quality of the surface hides the many mechanical parts inside the switch mechanism. The applicable standard requires 40,000 switching operations in the test. The JUNG quality standards require 50,000 operations. Functionality you can rely on for decades.
The socket
Every time a socket is connected, it is subjected to mechanical stress. The actual quality of a socket is concealed inside, in the quality of the contacts and springs. At JUNG, precise high-performance automatic punching presses form the metal parts, which are then assembled into complex modules. During production, a fully automatic multiple 100% inspection for non-conformities is performed. A socket must withstand 10,000 connections to comply with the standard. JUNG sockets withstand more than twice as many connections.
The push-button
JUNG push-buttons control the building technology in KNX systems as control elements, including temperature regulation and control of light, blinds or pre-programmed scenarios. The KNX push-buttons are available in the versions F 10, F 40 and F 50 in the design of the AS, A, CD and LS ranges. Coloured LEDS act as operation and status indication. The push-buttons unify technology and design to meet the toughest demands. The 40,000 passed position changes in the test required by the standard are exceeded by at least 25% at JUNG in accordance with the factory guidelines.

Made to touch – metal processing and craftmanship

For over 100 years, JUNG has been a pioneer in its craft. With the highest precision, a fine feel and expert knowledge, we have always developed and produced our products in Germany. There is a particular expertise here in metal processing and in the production of the LS 990 switch classic in the 63 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier. Many important steps are undertaken by hand in the process. For example, all brass switches are brushed by hand to make them almost unique. This special know-how and the craft abilities from the in-house metal processing provide the particular appeal and the high quality of the JUNG switches and sockets. In order to reproduce the impressive colour depth of the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier, JUNG has the switches in this range painted by hand in a special process. This produces the matt surface.
Lacquered by hand
With finesse and precise work steps to success: to project the special depth of colour of the "Polychromie Architecturale" of Le Corbusier, the switches are painted by hand in a special process. First, all particles and pieces of dust are removed under running water, then the switch is given its colour with a first coat. After drying, a second coat follows – for the velvety touch and matt look.

Metal finish
We provide our switch designs in genuine metal, and frames and inserts are produced in the same material. That requires a different tool for each of over 200 different products. The production processes are exactly tailored to the properties of the individual metals: aluminium is matt finished or lacquered, stainless-steel shot-blasted with glass beads, brass brushed, metal with chrome finish or refined with almost 24 carat gold plating.
