Frizz23, Berlin | Germany
The special FRIZZ23 commercial and residential project is located in Friedrichstraße 23 in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. Its utilisation concept includes housing, art, creative industries, education, gastronomy and retail. The building will be enclosed with a façade of burnt wood and dark blue aluminium panels. The FRIZZ23 is the first modular building in Germany.
The five floors in the west block provide seminar and training rooms. A number of “mini lofts” have been located in its seven-storey east tower with various levels of furnishing. These are available and can be booked as a kind of hotel room. Various creative studios are to be found in the middle section.
The occupants of the new premises in the middle block of the FRIZZ include the team from competitionline – the platform for architects’ competitions. Its new office appeals with an industrial charm featuring high ceilings, smooth concrete, screed and glass surfaces. This charm is complemented with gentle elements of wood and felt. Acoustic walls and special acoustic ceiling slabs ensure an appropriate work volume level in the open-plan office space.
The FRIZZ23 is fitted with the classic JUNG LS 990 design in white.

LS 990 in white
Thanks to its high quality and clear shape, the LS 990 switch range has already proved its worth for about 50 years. The classic form of this switch with its narrow frame fits harmoniously into any surroundings. Purist elegance in thermosetting plastic or genuine metal lend this series a touch of class. A wide variety of applications are possible thanks to the wide functional spectrum. Thus, architecturally demanding visions can be consistently put into practice. The single to fivefold frames can be fitted horizontally or vertically.
