LS 990 in Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier®

Le Corbusier's universal colour system, the Polychromie Architecturale, inspires with its timeless colour palette and noteworthy combinability. With the LS 990 switch range, we transport architectural colour design of the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® into the field of electrical installation.

Colour overview

All 63 colours used for the classic JUNG switch are tested and approved by the licenser, Les Couleurs Suisse AG. In order to faithfully reproduce the impressive colour depth, the classic LS 990 switch is hand lacquered using a special process. This creates the special matt surface.

The varieties of colours

Le Corbusier created his system of architectural colours as a tool for architects, interior designers and designers. His timeless colour keyboards have not lost any of their freshness even after 90 years.

The 1931 colour palette includes 43 colours in 14 series. Each series consists of one solid colour and up to four graduated brightenings. The original coding of the Le Corbusier colours starts constantly with "32xxx" – the series are identified by the last three digits. In addition, Le Corbusier created twelve colour keyboards. They have names such as space, sky, velvet or landscape and create different atmospheric moods.

In 1959 Le Corbusier expanded the Polychromie Architecturale with 20 more intense colours and an additional colour keyboard. Le Corbusier's extraordinary experience as an architect and painter is also reflected in this combination of colourful and achromatic shades and different brightness values.

Background knowledge about the Polychromie Architecturale

LS 990 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® in the architecture

To this day, Le Corbusier's work has had an impact on our idea of modern architecture. The timelessness and strength that his buildings and colours still have can also be seen in the JUNG reference projects.

Functional diversity

The frames for the LS 990 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® range can be combined with all centre plates in the JUNG LS range. A wide variety of applications are possible thanks to its wide range of functions. Thus, architecturally demanding visions can be consistently put into practice.
Switches/push-buttons
Whether it is a push switch, 2-gang switch or a classic switch: the LS 990 switch range offers numerous inserts for manual or automated lighting control.
Rotary dimmer
Ideal lighting conditions in no time: from the conventional incandescent lamp to modern LED lighting, the JUNG rotary dimmer dims the light as you need it.
SCHUKO® socket
Our sockets offer real added value: with enhanced contact protection (shutter), they reduce the risks of electrical accidents.
British Standard
The JUNG British Standard sockets also have enhanced contact protection (shutter). They are available with or without switches and with indicator lamp if required.
F 10 push-button
Smart functions, stylish design: the KNX F 10 push-button has the appearance of a classic light switch, but controls intelligent KNX technology.
F 40 push-button
Four functions in one device instead of four switches on the wall: the buttons of the JUNG F 40 push-button can be allocated multiple functions and can be individually identified.
F 50 push-button
The F 50 push-buttons for KNX and eNet impress with their large inscription field and the simple operating concept. Every button can be allocated functions individually.
Motion detector
Ideal in corridors or stairways, but also in offices and public buildings: the JUNG motion detector operates the light when it is needed.

Frames

The frames of the LS 990 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® switch range are available in 1-gang to 5-gang versions. Depending on the desired effect in the room, they can be installed horizontally or vertically.

Integration

The LS 990 switch range provides a wide range of solutions for all building control systems.
JUNG HOME
The system smartifies every building - no server, no Internet and no hammer drill. It is based on the conventional 230-volt installation. With this, every home, whether old or new, already fulfills the requirements for a digital infrastructure.
LB Management
The basis for light, shade and temperature control: the flush-mounted inserts and centre plates from the LB Management form a basic installation that can be extended at any time. Needs-based and user friendly.
KNX
For more convenience, security and economy: with a KNX system, numerous house and multimedia functions can be intelligently networked together, visualised and controlled centrally. KNX is standardised, future-proof technology for a professional smart home.
