SHAPING WORK | On the working environments of tomorrow
In 2026, the JUNG Architecture Talks are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Building networks, gaining insights, enjoying inspiring talks and engaging in professional dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere – this is what our format continues to stand for.
On 12 November, our event format will be taking place in Munich for the 13th time. This year’s evening, which will be held for the first time in the new JUNG Showroom in the historic Ledigenheim on Bergmannstraße, will take place under the motto Shaping Work. Together with our guests, we want to explore the working environments of tomorrow. How are cities, architecture and interior architecture adapting to the rapid transformation of the world of work?
Look forward to a keynote by Oliver Kettenhofen and Mike Herud of the Stuttgart-based architecture and interior architecture office SCOPE. Among other topics, they will speak about their workplace concepts for the software company SAP. We are also pleased to welcome Jessica Borchardt of the Hamburg-based office BAID to the stage. Together with her team of more than 20 architects, interior designers and product designers, she also pursues a holistic approach ranging from architecture to interior spaces. Her clients in the field of workplace design include companies such as DB Schenker, Aldi Nord and Thalia. Last but not least, we are looking forward to welcoming Frankfurt-based architect Oliver Cyrus of CYRUS.ARCHITEKTEN. He will focus primarily on the typology of office and mixed-use high-rise buildings and present various realised and planned projects from this field.
The evening will be moderated by Katharina Matzig, architecture journalist from Munich.

OLIVER KETTENHOFEN &
MIKE HERUD
SCOPE, STUTTGART
Oliver Kettenhofen is co-founder and architect at SCOPE Architekten in Stuttgart. Following his apprenticeship as a carpenter and his studies in architecture in Kaiserslautern and Lisbon, early project management responsibilities shaped his understanding of precise construction and a clear architectural approach. Mike Herud is also co-founder and architect at SCOPE Architekten. Following his apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied architecture at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. He subsequently gained valuable professional experience at UNStudio in Amsterdam and as a project manager for Prof. Wolfgang Kergaßner.

JESSICA BORCHARDT
BAID, HAMBURG
Borchardt, Architecture, Interior and Design: the name of her Hamburg-based architecture office, BAID, also stands for the disciplines of Jessica Borchardt. She studied architecture at TU Braunschweig and, with a DAAD scholarship, at Tsinghua University in Beijing. During her studies, she already worked with Prof. Meinhardt von Gerkan at the Institute of Architectural Design and joined his office gmp after graduating in 2001. Four years later, she founded her own office, which today employs more than 20 staff members.

OLIVER CYRUS
CYRUS.ARCHITEKTEN, FRANKFURT
Oliver Cyrus studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and was awarded the Schinkel Prize in 1989. After professional positions in Stuttgart, Berlin and Frankfurt, he founded the architecture office cyrus moser architekten in 2000. Since 2022, he has been leading CYRUS.ARCHITEKTEN together with partners Patrik Westphal and Martin Blank, with a focus on housing, high-rise buildings and new working environments. Among the defining projects of the office are the Senckenberg Quartier and the recently completed Europa-Allee Tower in Frankfurt am Main.

The event will be moderated by Munich architecture journalist Katharina Matzig.

Since 1997, she has been responsible for public relations at the Bavarian Chamber of Architects in Munich and now heads its press office. In addition, she works as a journalist for specialist magazines and daily newspapers and is the author of numerous books published by Callwey Verlag, including “Häuser des Jahres” and “Ausgezeichneter Wohnungsbau”.
