DESIGNING WITH COLOR | Between emotion, precision and spatial logic
In 2026, the JUNG Architecture Talks are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Building networks, gaining insights, enjoying inspiring talks and engaging in professional dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere – this is what our format continues to stand for.
On 14 May, the Architecture Talks took place in Vilnius for the first time. The evening at the MO Museum was held under the title Designing with Color. Together with renowned international and local architects, we explored how colour, as a creative tool, shapes identity, defines spaces and creates atmosphere.
Among our guests on the panel was Peter Ippolito of Ippolito Fleitz Group from Stuttgart. The interdisciplinary office has received numerous international awards and sees itself as “Identity Architects”, translating complex brand and corporate identities into holistic spatial and communication concepts. From Berlin, we welcomed Fabian Freytag, whose studio is known for expressive, colour-intensive and sensually charged spatial concepts. His work operates at the intersection of architecture, art and technology and consciously breaks with conventional design patterns. In 2025, he was named Ambiente Designer of the Year and is listed among the AD100. We also welcomed Lithuanian interior architect Aurelija Slapikaitė-Jurkonė, founder of A-Form Studio in Vilnius. Her work is characterised by clarity, structural precision and a consistent reduction to the essentials. She designs spaces that are not only functional and durable, but also sustainably influence the way people think, behave and feel.

AURELIJA SLAPIKAITÉ-JURKONÉ
A-FORM STUDIO, VILNIUS
Aurelija Slapikaitė-Jurkonė is an interior architect and founder of A-Form Studio in Vilnius. Since 2009, she has been working across private, public, and governmental interiors.
Her work is defined by clarity, structure, and a strong conceptual approach. Rather than following trends, she focuses on reducing design to its essential elements, creating spaces that are precise, functional, and built for long-term relevance.
Her portfolio includes projects for institutions such as the Lithuanian Customs and Turto Bankas, as well as commercial, educational, and healthcare environments. Across all scales, her work explores how space influences perception, behavior, and everyday experience. In addition to her practice, she is actively involved in cultural and educational initiatives and remains engaged in architectural discourse beyond design.

FABIAN FREYTAG
FABIAN FREYTAG STUDIO, BERLIN
Fabian Freytag, born in 1984 in Hamburg, is an architect and designer. He studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts, graduating in 2010. Immediately after, he founded Fabian Freytag Studio, an interdisciplinary practice for architecture, interior design, and visual communication based in Berlin. The studio is known for its expressive, colour-intensive, and spatially expansive designs that deliberately break away from standardised design conventions. Freytag’s work sits at the intersection of architecture, art, and technology and is often defined by a sensually provocative design approach. He was included in the AD100 (Architectural Digest) and named Ambiente Designer of the Year in 2025.

Peter Ippolito founded the Ippolito Fleitz Group together with Gunter Fleitz in 2002. The interdisciplinary studio always approaches projects from multiple perspectives, drawing on the diverse skills and experience of its specialists in (interior) architecture, communication design and product design. The studio’s work has now won 400 national and international awards.
