Clerkenwell Design-Week 2023
At the Clerkenwell Design Week 2023 in London, JUNG presented itself with a colourful installation under the title SWITCH TO COLOUR, an impressive combination of technology and colour. The focus was on the LS 990 switching elements in the 63 colours of Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier. The timeless colour palette offers plenty of room for unconventional and powerful colour interpretations. At the JUNG Brandstore London, SWITCH TO COLOUR invited its visitors to discover, try and experience and also quench their appetite for colour with refreshingly colourful ice balls.
Between cabinet of curiosities and explosion of colours: SWITCH TO COLOUR allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the world of JUNG with a bold and unusual presentation of colours and patterns. The material and colour collage skilfully showcased objects that are often used unconsciously in everyday life: switches and sockets. The result was a haptic relief of colours, materials and patterns in the spectrum of the “Polychromie Architecturale”, the original colours of Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier. One could almost smell the fruity notes of the colours: orange, apple green, cherry red, lemon yellow.
SWITCH TO COLOUR was based on the exhibition FARBDURST, which was conceived by the design studio raumkontor on behalf of JUNG for the Fuorisalone 2022 in Milan. The elements of the exhibition, which were saved for reuse, have now been prepared, redesigned and re-presented in London. SWITCH TO COLOUR was not only a colourful happening, but also a contribution to the responsible use of materials and resources.
