Matter push-button

More variety in the smart home: The battery-powered push-button in the JUNG design controls all Matter-capable devices locally. A border router is required for operation. Configuration and control is carried out via the app of the target system, e.g. Apple Home or SmartThings. The push-button can be updated via these apps.

Matter - A radio standard with versatile possibilities

The Matter push-button controls devices from different manufacturers and Thread ensures that these devices work together smoothly.
Matter is a connection standard that allows different smart home devices to communicate with each other regardless of manufacturer. At its core, Matter defines a common language and a standardised procedure for how the devices exchange data and execute commands. The connection can be established via WLAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth® Low Energy and Thread.
Thread is a wireless network protocol that has been specially developed for smart home applications. It enables lamps, thermostats and sensors to set up their own mesh-like network. This means that each device can communicate not only with a central hub, but also directly with each other.
Interoperability
Matter enables devices from different manufacturers to work together seamlessly. This improves the user experience.
Security
Matter offers robust security features to protect users' data and privacy.
energy efficiency
Thread is energy efficient, which is particularly important for battery-powered devices as it extends their service life.
Simple setup
The integration of devices is user-friendly and requires less technical knowledge.
Matter supports a wide range of devices, including lighting, thermostats, door locks, sensors and more. However, Matter is not a stand-alone smart home system. Although the standard enables devices in the home to be networked, it does not automate or control them. A higher-level system that is compatible with Matter is still required for these tasks. Matter offers interfaces for user interfaces and voice control - basically what platforms have implemented individually and without a common standard such as Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant or SmartThings.

JUNG Matter push-button "Works with Samsung SmartThings"

The Matter push-button is certified according to the SmartThings standards. For even faster configuration, you can select it directly in the Samsung SmartThings app.

Configuration

You can set up a Matter network quickly and easily using a smartphone. You only need Matter-compatible devices such as a JUNG Matter push-button 2-gang, a supporting app such as Apple Home or Samsung SmartThings and a Thread Border Router (e.g. a HomePod Mini), as the JUNG Matter push-button communicates via Thread.
Open the app of your smart home system, select the "Add new device" option and scan the QR code. With the JUNG Matter push-button, this is always on the device and also on an adhesive label for separate storage. The code contains all the necessary information to integrate the device into the network.

As soon as the Matter-capable device is recognised, it is automatically integrated into your existing smart home system. You can then conveniently control and manage the devices without the need for a cloud connection.

Individual button assignment selectable
The JUNG Matter push-button supports various input options: press once (single tap), press twice (double tap) or hold down (long tap). Up to three functions can be individually assigned per button, for example for light, scenes or smart devices. The button assignment may vary per smart home system used. After integrating the Matter push-button, press the buttons one after the other and observe the reactions in the app to assign the functions.

Tutorial

The following tutorial shows the two different ways to install the Matter push-button. We also explain how to integrate the push-button into the smart home system and how to change the battery.

Flexible with battery

The JUNG Matter push-button is not tied to a fixed power source. It can therefore be installed almost anywhere without complex cabling. This is particularly practical in rented flats or in rooms where cable routing is difficult or impractical.

Quick and clean installation

The push-button is virtually maintenance-free. Mounting is very easy using the adhesive pad or supporting frame - per surface. The accessories are included in delivery.
Smooth surfaces: With the adhesive pad
The JUNG Matter push-button is particularly suitable for supplementing existing electrical installations. With the supplied adhesive pad, it is simply attached to smooth surfaces - exactly where it is needed.
Cavity wall or flush-mounted boxes: With the supporting frame
When installing on a flush-mounted box, the supplied supporting frame is screwed to the flush-mounted box. The Matter module, including the frame and buttons, is then plugged onto the supporting frame.
In the A 550 and LS 990 ranges, the Matter push-button is available as a set in white, matt graphite black and matt snow white; in the A 550 range it is also available in matt anthracite. The push-button is available as an individual component in more colors.
