The control centre for your intelligent home

Small. Clever. KNX. The Smart Visu Server is the control centre for the intelligent home. With the server in the compact form, you can control lighting, blinds, heating and room climate, sun protection, ventilation, music, IP cameras and much more in a clearly structured user interface. Using individually created scenes, you can design processes in your smart home exactly as you need them.
Ideal for the private home
As a compact server for the local network, the Smart Visu Server is ideal for use in your own house or upscale rental properties. With the mounting set, there is the possibility for the installation on a DIN rail or on the wall. It controls and manages the building technology in up to 32 individually definable areas such as entrance, living room or exterior and manages up to 320 configurable functions from lighting control to access control. 
KNX meets IoT
The Smart Visu Server couples the KNX installation with Philips Hue and Sonos. The connection of the KNX system to the local network is via a KNX IP router or a KNX IP interface. The connection to the Philips Hue system is via the Philips Hue Bridge. The Sonos sound system is integrated into the building control via the local network. With the connection to SmartThings unique in the world, the Smart Visu Server enables the control of further products and IoT services.

With the Smart Visu Server, you can control your smart home in various ways: classically with push-buttons, intuitively with voice control or mobile with the app. Select the method that suits you best.
Manual control - classic with a push-button
Switching and dimming light, controlling blinds or shutters, storing light scenes and much more: with KNX push-buttons in our switch design you can control intelligent building technology conveniently and easily. You allocate different functions to the buttons. A central LED strip indicates the switching status to you.
Voice control – intuitive and contactless
Control modern building technology in living and working environments intelligently with KNX. In combination with the Smart Visu Server, you can also set many functions intuitively using voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. 
Mobile with the app - including remote access
At home or on the move: with the Smart Visu Server app, you can control all functions for your home automation with a fingertip. The app is available for iOS and Android. Access from outside the home network requires secure remote access with a myJUNG account.

One app, all the functions

The JUNG Smart Visu Server app shows all functions and states in the smart home clearly and well structured. It doesn't matter whether it is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or with a touch display from the Smart Control range. The control interface is always identical and adapts to the respective screen size.
Your home gets smarter
Switch, control, regulate – with one fingertip. It doesn't matter which device you use or from where you control your smart home: the app shows you all the activity at a glance. Thanks to comprehensive templates supplied, you can design the interface exactly as you need it and specify background colours, font sizes and much more. Using individual actions and scenes, you can manage your smart home yourself, adapt settings at any time or integrate new functions. 
Control of heating and room climate
Smart heating and climate technology ensures a comfortable temperature in the whole house and protects the environment. With the help of intelligent building technology, you can, for example, set the heating for a room, a floor or the entire house to the desired temperature. If you want, when leaving the house, the heating automatically switches to the reduced mode. With remote access, you also have access to heating, ventilation and room climate when on the move.
Blind and shutter control
Privacy and sun protection with one fingertip. In a building equipped with KNX, you can control the electric blinds, shutters and awnings with one fingertip. Room by room, on the complete floor or in the entire house. If you wish, the Smart Visu Server can also control the shading according to your schedule or depending on the amount of sunlight. It is just as simple for you, for example, to also combine the lighting and blinds control with each other and in this way generate a presence simulation.
Astro function
Using the astro function, you can switch lighting and blinds based on sunrise and sunset. During the year, the switching points adapt to the changed times. The control of the devices likewise relate to the sun position and moon phases.
Lighting control, also with Philips Hue
The Smart Visu Server is compatible with the Philips Hue smart lighting system and independently recognises when a Philips Hue Bridge is installed in your home network. All luminaires are visible in the Smart Visu Server user interface. Simply specify settings or actions and control the light as usual without having to switch to the Philips Hue app. That is not just by using a screen, but also completely classically with KNX push-buttons on the wall. To do this, simply use the KNX/IoT function that connects both system worlds with each other.
Music and multimedia
The Smart Visu Server supports the integration, visualisation and operation of the Sonos and sonoro audio sound system. With the Smart Visu Server app, you can not only access your playlists, but you can also use Internet radio and streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music or SoundCloud. With actions, you can connect music and lighting control with each other, for example. In this way, for example for the perfect evening with friends, you can design the appropriate lighting atmosphere in combination with your party playlist.

Smart sound with sonoro

Music systems from sonoro bring clear sound to every smart home and blend stylishly into the home as a design system.
The sonoro audio systems in the category "Smart Home" (e.g. MEISTERSTÜCK (Gen. 2), MAESTRO Quantum, AVATON, sonoro AMPLIFIER and sonoro STREAMER) can be integrated into the JUNG KNX system via the Smart Visu Server. The two systems can thus be controlled via the user interface of the Smart Visu Server via smartphone, tablet, Smart Control 8 display and LS TOUCH as well as KNX push-buttons. Various functions for music control can be used via KNX and integrated into scenes. This includes the selection of the music source, such as CD, radio or streaming services. The sonoro connection creates an solution for integrating multimedia into the smart home!

The following functions can be controlled via the visualisation: 

  • Retrieve up to 99 favourites and select sources via the favourites
  • Volume control incl. mute
  • Music system on / off / play and pause
  • Switch repeater and shuffle functions on / off 
  • Save and recall local favourites

Smart Visu Server + JUNG HOME

With the connection to JUNG HOME, existing or new KNX installations can be expanded. For example, switched JUNG HOME sockets integrate table lamps into scenes and the Energy socket version displays the power transparently. If the existing KNX installation is extended, e.g. by the integration of the garage, the battery-powered push-button as a control unit or the mini actuators are an ideal addition. Even in areas where the frequency of KNX RF (886 MHz) is not permitted, JUNG HOME offers an interesting alternative via Bluetooth® Mesh. More possibilities with the Smart Visu Server
Integration of switched sockets
After the installation of a JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket, it is taught in via the JUNG HOME app and is then linked to the JUNG HOME gateway. By connecting the gateway with the Smart Visu Server, the socket can now be controlled via the Smart Visu Server app.
Measurement of power consumption at sockets
The JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy measures the energy consumption. The consumption values at the corresponding sockets are displayed via the Smart Visu app on a panel or mobile device.
Subsequent networking of premises
Extending an existing KNX installation without laying new bus lines is very easy with JUNG HOME. Install JUNG HOME gateway devices in the new rooms, link them to the gateway and connect this to the Smart Visu Server. All devices can now be controlled centrally via the Smart Visu Server app.
Premises remain smart during change of use
KNX bus lines are permanently installed. If rooms are to be converted, e.g. a bedroom becomes a living room, the cabling remains in place. Instead of chiselling work, JUNG HOME can be used to get adapted smart functions into the new living room.

Product data & updates
The Smart Visu Server visualises and controls the KNX building technology and networks it with the smart systems from Sonos and Philips Hue. In this way, functions and actions can be run at the same time based on events or time. The connection of the Smart Visu Server to the KNX system is via a KNX IP router or a KNX IP interface. The connection to the Philips Hue system is established using the Philips Hue Bridge. The connection to the Sonos system is via the local network. Retrospective integration into an existing KNX system is possible without difficulty.

Maintenance:
Software updates are made available online in the administration interface SV Control. Experienced owners can run these independently. Simply change the setting
All the interfaces can be easily adapted via the settings in the Smart Visu Server. The app on a smartphone, tablet or touch display automatically applies the theme set in each case.
As soon as a new version is ready, the update is available in the SV Control area. Alternatively, the update can be carried out as a USB update. You can find all changes in the "change log" document. This is available for download as a PDF file here.
 
Note: after the software update, we recommend that you delete the browser cache for all client devices (Smart Control, smartphone, etc.).
The Smart Visu Server is continuously under development. 
Regular updates constantly keep the software up-to-date. 
New versions are available online as an update in the SV Control area. Alternatively, you can carry out the update with a USB stick. All changes are described chronologically in the change log with version history.

Faster commissioning with SV-Control

Regular updates to the Smart Visu Server expand the range of functions and optimize performance and user-friendliness.
One of the most important innovations is the introduction of a completely redesigned SV Control commissioning interface. The interface is based visually on the SV Home interface to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.
New user interface
The completely redesigned SV Control has been matched visually to SV Home. This ensures convenient commissioning, as the complete system is operated uniformly.
Templates
Standard templates make commissioning easier. Set-up is simpler as the templates save unnecessary clicks. Standard users such as Admin or Guest are created with one click in this way.
Search and filter function
The search and filter function make it possible to reach information and functions more quickly.
Copies
Identical rooms or functions can now be copied. System integrators no longer have to create every room separately and add functions to them.

Logic module for the Smart Visu Server

Create automations using drag-and-drop

With the logic module, the Smart Visu Server expands its functionality with an intuitive logic editor. For the first time, automations can be created graphically in a separate tab. Logic blocks are linked directly in the user interface using drag-and-drop - without any complex programming. This significantly simplifies the implementation of new functions and enables existing processes to be expanded quickly and flexibly.

Installation and configuration

Configure your KNX smart home quickly and easily
This tutorial takes you through the installation of the Smart Visu Server using the SV Control commissioning tool. Learn how to input and configure existing KNX components using ETS Import.
Step 1: installation
Simple start with ETS Import
The Smart Visu Server is integrated into the home network using a KNX IP router or a KNX IP interface. With the integrated commissioning tool SV Control, the visualisation of the KNX installation is then built up step by step in the user interface. SV Control works independently of the operating system. Import the existing KNX installations with an OPC file directly from the ETS. During installation, the Smart Visu Home user interface is automatically generated from the configuration in the SV Control commissioning tool. Access is via a browser.

Step 2: configuration
Specify functions & actions
From the range of imported KNX devices you now configure the areas and devices. Afterwards, specify the functions, such as switching on the LED colour light in the standard lamp in the living room. Combining different functions is done in the actions. Up to 16 functions can be allocated to an action. From "Welcome" to "Switch off all centrally", you set up every imaginable switching operation in the smart home step by step.

Step 3: handover
The password protection protects against unwanted changes
Everything configured and the customer is happy? Then it is time for the handover: jointly define the parts of the control area of the Smart Visu Server that your customer can or would like to edit. Provide all others with a password. The advantage: for every change that the customers make themselves, you do not need to plan an extra visit. In addition, inexperienced smart home users do not cause problems if they do not have the password.

Step 4: install updates
System maintenance made easy
New features and continuous improvements: we are continuously working on new updates for the Smart Visu Server. As soon as a new version is ready, the update is available in the SV Control area. Depending on the agreement, your customers can install the updates themselves at precisely this point. You can find all patches for the Smart Visu Server in the "Change Log" document. This is also available for download as a PDF file.
Control Philips Hue with the Smart Visu Server
With the integration of the Philips Hue LED coloured light system, you can create individual light scenes, colour moods, switch-on brightnesses, etc. in your home. The integration into the general control system with the Smart Visu Server is not complicated. This tutorial shows you how to do it.

The Smart Visu Server from JUNG is the central control unit in a KNX smart home. It links individual switching operations to form a well-designed overall system for convenient and efficient building automation.

  • Actions: Up to 320 freely configurable actions can be created – user-defined, time-controlled, event-driven or linked to sunrise and sunset via astronomical data.
  • Presence simulation: Whilst you are away, the lighting is switched on and off according to a realistic usage profile, thereby simulating a presence in the building.
  • Stairwell function: A single switch-on is sufficient: the light switches off automatically after a defined delay, supporting energy-efficient lighting control.
  • Remote access: Via a myJUNG account and the Smart Visu Server app for iOS and Android, the entire building’s technical systems can be visualised and controlled regardless of location or time.

The more user-friendly a smart home system is, the more important a comprehensive security concept becomes. The JUNG Smart Visu Server combines a high level of user-friendliness with a high level of security in a centralised system.

  • Security: KNX Secure ensures end-to-end encrypted communication throughout the entire KNX system. Remote access is also provided via a password-protected myJUNG account and a JUNG-owned server in Germany.
  • Role and access rights allocation: Up to 24 users can be set up with different roles and access rights, for example, separately for residents and guests. This allows for a precise distinction between permanent users and temporary access.
  • Convenience: Control is carried out in the traditional way via push-buttons, via voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, via the mobile app, or automatically via actions defined in the app. Depending on the usage situation, you can select the most suitable control method.

Using the Smart-Visu-Server app and a myJUNG account, you can conveniently operate the building technology even when outside your home network.

  • Prerequisite for remote access: The SV-Remote licence must be activated. The connection is established via a JUNG server in Germany.
  • Functions whilst on the move: Lighting, blinds, heating, music and other integrated systems can be controlled just as they would be on the home network.
  • Remote access and IP cameras via the web function: If the IP camera is not integrated via the web function, live images are restricted to the home network. If the camera is integrated via the web function, you can also view the footage remotely whilst on the move

The Smart Visu Server offers two different ways of integrating camera feeds. Depending on the integration method, the images are visible only on the home network or can also be viewed remotely from outside the home.

  • Feel safe at home
    sing the IP camera function, live images can be assigned to any area of the user interface of your choice, for example the entrance area. These images are visible only on the home network and are not displayed via remote access.
  • Keep an eye on everything whilst you’re out and about
    If you want camera images to be available outside the home network, the camera is integrated via the web page function. This option uses the internet connection, so that live images can be conveniently accessed remotely.
  • Recommended upper limit
    For the IP camera function, JUNG recommends a maximum of four cameras per Smart Visu Server installation. This is because each camera generates a continuous data stream within the home network.
  • Check compatibility
    JUNG maintains a list of tested camera models. Before purchasing, you should check whether the model you intend to buy is included in this list

Through a suitable connection to standard voice assistants, lighting, shading and heating can be conveniently controlled via voice commands – in addition to traditional operation via manual controls such as push-buttons and rotary switches on the wall. Voice control does not replace the existing control system, but rather complements it effectively. Anyone with their hands full or just entering the room can simply say ‘Turn on the lights’ instead of searching for the switch.


At the same time, automatic sensors – such as motion detectors or weather stations – continue to operate in the background. They respond continuously to presence, brightness and temperature, independently of voice commands. In this way, voice control, manual operation and automatic sensor technology interlock to form a convenient operating concept suitable for everyday use – a bonus for user-friendliness, accessibility and modern building services engineering.
