The converter and wind sensor are used to protect a blind/shutter against destruction due to excessively strong winds. The blind/shutter is moved to a safe end position and locked there until the wind drops below the set wind force value.
The converter is operated together with a Universal blinds insert (ref.-no. 1731 JE) or binary inputs of the KNX system.
Surface-mounted devices for outdoor installation
The connection cable between the wind sensor and the converter must always be a shielded cable. Use either a 2-wire cable or a 4-wire cable, e.g. Siemens MSR control LSYCY or telephone cable J-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.6. Connection cable approx. 3 m pre-assembled. Can be extended to max. 50 m.
