Quality - Made in Germany

Products and systems from JUNG are valued worldwide as a guarantee for reliable and premium building technology solutions. With our commitment to exclusive production in Schalksmühle and Lünen, Germany, we place great emphasis on sustainable development in our manufacturing processes as well as on precision in processing. The exclusive production also grants us short logistics pathways for our suppliers and a consolidated, energy-efficient production. Three characteristics for our products are vital to us: aesthetics, high-quality functionality, and a robust product life.

Progress through research

The BSFZ seal
JUNG is pleased about the award of the BSFZ seal by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The seal underlines our innovation competence, faithful to our motto of progress through research. Research and development are central components of our company culture.
Research seal: innovative through research
In this year as well, a large effort in research and development has paid off. For 2022/2023, JUNG can continue to use the sought-after "Innovative through research" seal and shows that research and innovation are important elements of our business culture. Since 2014, the awarding body (Stifterverband) has honoured researching businesses with the "Innovative through research" seal for their special responsibility that they accept for the state and society.

Quality in every detail

Our products are characterised by high-quality components, right down to the smallest detail as we carefully craft them. This ensures their durability and functionality even after prolonged usage.
The switch
The light switch not only connects the electrical installation with the room, but also acts as a visual component to interiors. It must therefore be both aesthetic and functional. We have designed our switches to be eye-catching, hiding the many mechanical parts within the switch mechanism. Beyond the required 40,000 switching operations during the testing phase, we subject our switches to 50,000 operations before launching it to the market as our form of guarantee for quality.
The socket
Every time a socket is connected, it is subjected to mechanical stress. The actual quality of a socket is concealed within - in the quality of the contacts and springs. To produce sockets of the best grade, we use a precise high-performance automatic punching press to form the metal parts, which are then assembled into complex modules. During production, a fully automatic inspection for non-conformities is performed. Beyond the required 10,000 connections during the testing phase, we subject our sockets to over 20,000 connections before launching it to the market.
The push-button
Our push-buttons control the building technology in KNX systems such as temperature regulation and the control of light, blinds or pre-programmed scenarios. They are available in the versions of F 10, F 40 and F 50, and in the design of the LS and A ranges. They are equipped with coloured LEDs that act as operation and status indication. Beyond the required 40,000 position changes during the testing phase, we subject our push-buttons to over 50,000 connections before launching it to the market.

Made to touch – metal processing and craftmanship

For over 100 years, we have been a pioneer in our craft. With the highest precision, a fine feel and expert knowledge, we have stayed true to our philosophy and belief that products should always be of the best quality. In our production plants in Germany, we have specialised craftsmen who have deep expertise in metal processing and producing our LS 990 range in the 63 Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colours. In these processes, many steps are required to be undertaken by hand. All brass products are hand-brushed to give each of them a unique finishing, and each product in the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colours have to be lacquered on by hand in a special process to accurately reproduce the impressive colour depth.
Lacquered by hand
First, all unwanted impurities and dust are removed under running water. Then, the switch is given its colour with a first coat. After drying, a second coat is then applied for the velvety touch and matt appearance.

Metal finish
For the LS 990 range in genuine metal, frames and covers are produced in the same material. This requires a different tool for each of over 200 different products. The production processes are individually tailored to the properties of the individual metals: aluminium is matt finished or lacquered, stainless-steel shot-blasted with glass beads, brass brushed, metal with chrome finish and gold refined with almost 24 carat gold plating.
With the switches made of real metal, the frame and inserts are manufactured from the same material.
