LS 990 in metal
Good architecture is the sum of many details: a combination of great designs inspired by contemporary styles, high levels of functionality, and sustainability. The LS 990 in high-quality genuine metal meet these goals in a special way.
Cool stainless steel, light aluminium and its elegantly lacquered versions of anthracite and dark, glossy chrome or precious gold coating. Variations in real brass extend the portfolio: classic brass with a high-gloss and antique brass that matches the traditional interior. These unique surfaces set special accents, and craftsmanship and love for detail are reflected in their high-quality finish.
Material
For us, metal is metal
Metal materials were particularly close to the heart of the company founder, Albrecht Jung. As a result, the company has been concentrating on processing metals since the 1920s.
All corresponding centre plates are produced in the same material as their frames. Because each production process is exactly tailored to the properties of the individual metals, a different tool is required for over 200 different products. In addition, the narrow frame of the LS 990 and the small radii also demand a high level of precision in construction.
From the very beginning, the LS 990 is built for the future
Produced on fully automated production lines, 14 million socket inserts and 8 million flush-mounted units for switches leave JUNG production plants in Schalksmühle and Lünen every year. More than 1,000 variants are also manufactured on flexible assembly lines for customer-specific products in smaller quantities.
In our production process, not only do the tools used guarantee the highest level of precision, individual components have also been sourced locally for generations. Throughout production, sustainability is a top priority.
The switch
As a visible element, the light switch is the bridge between back end electrical installation and the design of the room. Hence, it is important for it to be aesthetically pleasing while having high functionality. The most salient element of the switch - its surface - must be eye-catching while hiding the many mechanical parts within its mechanism.
The socket
The secret behind the durability of the JUNG SCHUKO® socket is the high-quality components that it's comprised of. Every time the socket is connected, it is subjected to mechanical stress because heat is generated where electricity flows. It is thus crucial that the contacts and springs concealed behind the cover plate is of a high calibre to ensure long-lasting functionality.
The push-button
Used in conjunction with the KNX system, the F 40 push-button's large operating areas allow for up to eight functions to be controlled all within a single compact push-button. With this, regulating temperature, controlling lights and blinds can all be seamlessly integrated into the electrical installation in just one location.
A switch conquers the architecture
Unostentatiously presented, organically playful or sensually opulent: with its restrained design and its classic shape, the LS 990 fits in every architectural concept. Different designs in plastic or genuine metal and numerous different colours enable an extensive scope interior style.
Integration
The LS 990 range is able to accommodate different needs from all building control systems.
