LS 1912 – the aesthetics of switching

Innovation in design has been a core tenet of JUNG since 1912, and with the LS 1912 toggle switch, we draw on the past to re-present the classic toggle switch in a contemporary form. The material and mechanics of the LS 1912 lend it a particular charm, making it possible to relive the mechanics of switching. The toggle levers are available in the materials of aluminium, stainless steel, brass or chrome, and in the shapes of cylinders, cones or cubes.

The LS 1912 toggle switch unifies a classic switching feel of the past with the technical demands of the present. With the addition of LS 1912 in matt graphite black and snow white, JUNG has extended the toggle switch in metal with a special feel, now suiting even minimalist furnishing styles with its timeless aesthetic.

LS 1912 with cylindrical toggle lever

For the LS 1912, toggle levers, centre plates and switch mechanisms were developed in a modular system so that no screws are visible after fastening. Only the toggle lever stands out from the unit as the style element. The LS 1912 with cylindrical toggle lever is available in classic brass, stainless steel, aluminium and dark.

LS 1912 with conical toggle lever

LS 1912 with a conical toggle lever is likewise available in classic brass, stainless steel, aluminium and dark. The stainless steel switches are shot-blasted with glass beads; while the versions in aluminium are finished with a matt surface, among which the version in dark is lacquered in an elegant charcoal grey.

LS 1912 with cubical toggle lever

The cubical version is specifically matched to chrome to exude an air of confidence that the material carries. The base material of the LS 1912 switch in chrome is brass, which is then galvanically chromed with a 0.5µm-thin layer of chrome to produce a high gloss finish.

LS 1912 with an LED indicator light

Restrained yet clear; the LS 1912 is also available with an LED indicator light. The red LED integrated into the toggle lever signals the switch status and also indicating the position of the switch even when it is dark.

LS 1912 unifies intuitively operated switches with excellent design and functional diversity. Over 200 centre plates can be paired with the LS 1912, including light switches, sockets for international systems, multimedia connections, universal LED dimmers and KNX push-buttons.

Switch
LS 1912 switches the lighting by operating the toggle lever downwards (switch on) or upwards (switch off). The toggle lever remains in the switched position.

Push-button
If the LS 1912 is installed as a toggle push-button, the toggle lever automatically returns to the original position after switching the lighting on and off.

Multi-switch push-button

The multi push-button insert extends LS 1912 by an additional toggle switch position. This makes the LS 1912 with multi push-button insert particularly suited as a control push-button for relay connections. This makes blind control with slat adjusting possible, for example.

With the multi push-button insert and the KNX push-button interface, the LS 1912 becomes a KNX control unit. The combination of the devices covers many functions. For mounting behind the flush-mounted insert, a deep installation box is necessary. With LS 1912 as a KNX push-button, smart functions can be harmoniously integrated into a classic ambience. Mounting in multiple combinations is possible.

Cover hood for LS 1912

Plastic cover for the LS 1912 programme
The transparent cover hood protects mounted switches, sockets, toggle switches, rotary dimmers and many other products from LS 1912 ranges from contamination and damage on the building site.
The cover hood has a range of uses and ensures reliable functionality and an undamaged surface of the switch. It is simply pushed on and can be removed without a sign it was there. The material can be fully recycled. Available for 1-gang to 3-gang.
