The ward

Our products make the stay as pleasant as possible for patients in a hospital facility, while at the same time, offer medical personnel taking care of patients convenience in performing their duties.

Nursing staff and doctors require reliable connection facilities in close proximity to the patients, which can be achieved with bedside potential equalisation socket to enable the safe connection of medical equipment directly by patients. Moisture-proof labelling areas ensure that the labels on switches and sockets can always be easily read. To ensure that the technology is continually powered, sockets with a light indicator can be used to signal their status. Sockets can also come with a hinged lid to provide additional protection, and are also available with USB ports to charge smartphones and tablets.

The potential equalisation socket in accordance with DIN 42 801 for conductors up to 6 mm² enables the safe connection of medical devices near to patients.

For that extra bit of comfort
To make the stay as pleasant as possible, private single rooms should be particularly spacious and provide a high level of comfort. This includes all the important electrical connections: in order to charge smartphones, e-book readers etc. without taking up socket space, the USB charger is the ideal choice. It supplies an output current of up to 3000 mA. Patients or staff can also regulate the light via the KNX F 40 push-button to intuitively control lighting, dimmers and shading.

Clever light installations for better night orientation without interfering sleep
In the unfamiliar surroundings of hospitals and nursing homes, patients and residents need help with the orientation of the room, especially at night. To aid this, our LED floor pilot light that reliably lights up the way for patients at night to the bathroom. The LED light is non-glare and discrete, which allows the light to be switched on throughout the night without disturbing sleep. Patients would not need to switch on the large ceiling light in the ward that may be too glaring for the night.

The LED pilot light is available in various ranges and colours, and can come with an integrated brightness sensor. The LED light itself shines white.

The orientation light is also available in combination with a SCHUKO® socket, which also has a brightness sensor, giving the socket dual purpose. 
With the Plug & Light light socket
The modern Plug & Light system consists of a light socket where various LED attachments from Plug & Light can be connected without complicated mounting, drilling and dirt. 
Plug & Light has a modular structure. It consists of the light socket (a flush-mounted insert with the electronics), the appropriate design frame, the cover and a light attachment. Light attachments are connected to the light socket via magnetic contact rings, which can be easily swapped out. The freeform contact also enables the light attachment to be freely rotated, enabling a wide range of lighting options.
Plug & Light: LED spotlight
The Plug & Light LED spotlight can be swivelled by up to 90° and rotated through 360°. Shine light however you want for that ideal lighting. 
Plug & Light: LED floodlight
The Plug & Light floodlight can also be rotated completely, and is ideally used as a reading light by the bedside.

Reliable technology for the operating theatre

Hygiene, a clear design language, and ease of use are extremely important aspects of modern electrical technology required in the operating theatre. From an uninterruptible power supply, to potential equalisation connections and modular jack sockets, and to elbow-operated switches - we have the appropriate products for the delicate devices in the most sensitive area of a hospital.

Enlarged switches in the LS 990 design for lighting and sliding doors can also be operated with an elbow for surgeons who need to keep their hands sterile. Furthermore, stainless steel aids in keeping a sterile environment with its ease of disinfection.
Socket for surge voltage protection
The surge voltage protection protects attached electrical loads from electrical surge damage. This is particularly important for the sensitive devices in operating theatres. The integrated LED reliably indicates the function.
Modular jack socket and potential equalisation socket
Our modular jack socket ensures the required digital networking in order to communicate using Video-over-IP. Potential equalisation sockets secure the operation of the connected technology in the operating theatre.

With the JUNG Graphic Tool, switches in stainless steel can be individually labelled for quick identification of function.

The orange socket identifies the additional backup power supply system (ZSV). The LED in the hinged lid reliably indicates the function.

With LS ZERO, specialist installers mount switches, sockets and operating units consistently flushed against walls in hospitals or practices. This prevents damage from the impact of patient beds. 
Oversize rocker for hands-free operation
"Elbow buttons" in stainless steel or lacquered stainless steel in white are the ideal solution for use in corridors. Their large switch area allows personnel to operate them quickly when passing by. Made of robust stainless steel, they also withstand impacts with bed frames or other hard objects.  
LED pilot lights for fast orientation
Particularly for a first admission, it is important that patients find their way quickly and easily. LED pilot lights with clear labelling help make orientation easier, clearly communicating when it is the next patient’s turn and where the important places are in the building.

The intelligent hospital

KNX is the internationally recognised standard for building system technology. In a smart building, all functions are meaningfully networked and communicate with each other. The possibilities of digitalisation support the extra convenience, comfort, economy, safety and energy efficiency needed in the hospital.

Intelligent actuators
Actuators in the control cabinet are the core of intelligent building technology. They contribute to energy efficiency and make everyday life easier for hospital staff. For example, when the sun rises in the morning, shutters automatically let in the light. Smart sensors report the sunlight to the actuators and these open or close the slats to keep glaring light and the midday heat outside. The JUNG KNX system works allow the care staff and facility management to focus on their daily tasks with intelligent and automatic and appropriate control of building technology.

Smart visualisation
In a smart building, the KNX technology works in the background takes over many tasks automatically. A visualisation tool, such as a display panel, helps to obtain information about current processes and enables doctors, patients or facility management personnel to view and control functions themselves if needed.

Convenience in the practice

For a high-quality practice fitting and an inviting waiting room with well-structured and appropriate technology.
To enhance the workflow in a doctor's practice and create a pleasant environment for patients and staff, automatic lighting, intelligent KNX room temperature controllers and radio smoke alarm devices are available in our switch ranges. With the sophisticated door communication, the staff can ensure that patients get to where they need to go directly and securely.
Motion detector
The horizontal detection range of 180° of this motion detector is ideal for small rooms such as corridors or washrooms. Its sensitivity can be configured individually, and it can have a fixed deactivation delay time.
KNX room temperature controller
The room temperature controller detects and regulates the room temperature for efficient energy use. It therefore contributes a sustainable building automation.
Ceiling observer/presence detector
The presence detector has a 360° detection area with a radius of 20 metres, and is based on an installation height of three metres that make it ideal for large open spaces like the waiting area.
Video indoor station
Video indoor stations show at a glance who is at the door, and its brightness and colour can be manually adjusted. This ensures that the image is always ideally adapted to the lighting conditions.

Call systems

Call systems for emergencies play an important role in hospitals, care facilities and doctor's practices as well as in public spaces. They give patients or at-risk people the necessary security in possibly isolated spaces. In partnership with leading manufacturers of emergency systems, their technology has been integrated with the JUNG design.

In cases of emergencies, it is important that help arrives on site quickly. To ensure that we achieve this, our call systems are designed with a focus on clarify of function, while also fitting aesthetically with the rest of the electrical installation. Our emergency system set, for example, is a sophisticated system for emergency calls in wheelchair-accessible washrooms. 

Standardised equipment
The DIN 18040-1 standard for public buildings requires wheelchair-accessible washrooms to have an emergency call system. Our emergency system set not only fulfils this requirement, it also complies with the standard for implementing emergency call systems from the Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (Association of German Electricians) for care facilities, hospitals and other public institutions (DIN VDE 0834). This makes our call systems particularly suitable for use in nursing homes or wheelchair-accessible areas in public buildings.

The P7 is a decentralised and individually adaptable emergency system that can be used for many situations. In the ward, patients or family can call for help in an emergency using the call button. Room terminals in the duty room or the in-house emergency call centre then receive the incoming signal call for help.

The room modules are the central control units in the rooms of the nursing care residents or patient wards. The four-LED signal lamp reliably indicates which call has been made.

Call buttons for patient wards and nursing care resident rooms are available in different versions, such as with a button combination consisting of a call button, a doctor call button, a presence button and a reset button.

Call and presence buttons in the hospicall P7 emergency call system can also be set individually to a room module, such as a call and presence button for separate installations.

Room modules of the P7 emergency system can also come with a display panel that accommodates 2 x 8 characters, showing the call location and call type signalled by different call buttons. This means that nursing staff can quickly know where and how to help patients.

From small nursing homes with individual rooms to fully equipped living areas: hospicall P3 is a configurable emergency call system that is fitted for a variety of settings. Designed intentionally for the elderly to easily use, the push-buttons relay haptic feedback to its users when a signal for help has been sent through the act of pushing the button.

This room module of hospicall P3 has both call and reset buttons integrated, providing dual functions for both patients and staff in a single device.

The variable room modules are also available with an RJ-45 socket, allowing the nurse to connect multiple push-buttons or other mobile operating devices to it.
Reset button
This separate push-button can also be made as a satellite unit and is meant to act as a room module in duty rooms or command centres.

The separate push-button can be installed as a satellite unit (e.g. on the bed) for convenient and immediate ease of use for patients.
Many emergency call systems, one JUNG design
Leading manufacturers of emergency call systems have integrated their technology with the JUNG design range. The covers of the Novar and Total Walther systems are included in the JUNG product range, but the inserts are only available directly from them. The emergency systems of other manufacturers must be obtained from the respective providers.

JUNG emergency system
The complete set for emergency calls within the entire building. The system consists of an emergency signal, a pull cord push-button, a reset button and its own power supply unit. The set provides an emergency call system in places such as wheelchair-accessible washrooms, and meets the safety requirements of DIN VDE 0834.
Equipped with moisture-proof labelling areas
We have moisture-proof labelling areas for selected switch and socket ranges that complies with the particularly high hygiene requirements of hospitals, operating theatres and nursing homes. The antibacterial special range reduces the risk contamination of bacteria and germs.
