In order to recover the essence of the building in art nouveau style, the Spanish architects of CaSA Colombo and Serboli focused on the restoration of original features. The request of the customer, an Italian family, was to design an apartment that would highlight and emphasise the details of the building from the beginning of 1900 by adding a contemporary language. 

The elements, revived in their original splendour, are visualised in details such as the Catalan vaults, which were previously hidden behind a false ceiling and are now revealed in their original terracotta finish. At the same time, new components have also been added that maintain the same language: Hydraulic tiles represent a typical element at the beginning of the 20th century, using a current hexagonal format and contemporary colours. The irregular laying of the tiles creates the impression of a carpet that leads from the entrance area of the apartment to the living room and unifies the room structure.

The block that houses the two small bedrooms forms a pink volume that separates the living area from the bedrooms. A pine covered block at the end of the hallway conceals the main bathroom. The same volume of wood is found on the other side of the walk-in wardrobe and protrudes into the master bedroom, where it transforms into wooden bedside tables that are used as steps to access the private bathroom. This solution allows optimum use of the light from the large original window frame, which occupies almost the entire wall to the courtyard. Natural wood also recurs in individual kitchen and bedroom elements: The bars on the wall, the front of the kitchen island, the large sliding door separating the living area from the bedrooms and in the storage boxes in the bedrooms. 

The selected interior design sets complete accents with fresh colours. White metal elements and pastel colours have also been selected, as well as some objects in plain grey. In addition, the JUNG classic LS 990 design in white which impresses with its clear shapes harmoniously and fluently blends into the stylish interior design concept.
