Easy electrical design

JUNG planning tools for architects and interior designers for intuitive electrical design

Electrical equipment should be understood and designed as part of the interior design, as the possibilities - especially for smart building equipment - are as varied and individual as the living and working situations themselves. JUNG offers new design tools for architects and interior designers that make electrical design simple and creative. Three new JUNG configurators help building owners and planners to determine requirements. Architects, interior architects and designers now also have access to JUNG product solutions on the innovative MattoBoard and pCon planning platforms as part of the interior design process. With MattoBoard digital material collages can now also be created, including of the JUNG switches in the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier colours. And with just a few clicks, pCon makes it possible to create interiors in 3D, furnish them, apply surfaces and display the LS 990, LS ZERO and LS CUBE switch ranges photo-realistically. All this makes electrical design fun!

Interdisciplinary construction and planning are on the rise, as it has been recognized that projects - regardless of their size - are conceived much more holistically in cross-sector teams and cooperative collaboration than with the classic separation of trades. When it comes to the electrical equipment of buildings and rooms, it goes without saying that electrical professionals are needed for the actual planning and installation work. However, it is also clear that the equipment and the choice of building technology are having an increasing impact on subsequent use, comfort, energy consumption and ultimately also on the design. It is precisely these important design aspects that architects and interior designers can use creatively as design parameters.

New configurators make communication easier
JUNG has introduced three new configurators (currently only available in German) for end customers, architects and interior designers as well as suitable professional tools for specialist partners - the switch configurator, the JUNG HOME configurator and the KNX configurator. These are tailored precisely to the needs of the various target groups, making the electrical planning of residential projects much simpler, faster and more efficient.

Creative mood boards with LS 990
Test colours, combine suitable materials and make a product selection: MattoBoard helps to assess the aesthetics and interaction of JUNG light switches with other product solutions for interior design purposes. The extensive selection of materials enables designers to present their design ideas with the help of high-resolution images and a realistic representation of light and shadow.

Photorealistic representation in the 3D object
pCon.planner is a room and furnishing planning program for interior designers and interior decorators. With just a few clicks, users can create complete interiors in 3D, furnish them and cover them with surfaces. The tool also facilitates electrical planning, communication and discussion with electrical installers. Using OFML data, the JUNG products of the LS 990 switch series can now be used and displayed photo-realistically in pCon.planner.

Despite its passion for switches as a switch manufacturer, JUNG knows that electrical design isn't necessarily the favourite discipline of many planners and designers. But with the new tools it might just become precisely that!

Intuitive approaches to electrical planning
Three new JUNG configurators facilitate the professional preparation of electrical equipment in residential properties and make it easier for building owners to convert their individual wishes into technical equipment.

The switch configurator for conventional electrical equipment and the two configurators for smart electrical planning with JUNG HOME and KNX guide the user intuitively through everything from the determination of requirements through the specific equipment and switch design to the cost estimate. The configuration can be easily shared with the installer. Information from end customers, planners and installers is exchanged seamlessly via compatible versions of the configurators without any interface losses. Everyone gets precisely the depth of information they need. No specialist knowledge is required to use the three JUNG configurators. The preliminary planning can be carried out by the client alone, overseen in a joint process with the planners and then handed over to the specialist electrical companies. Each project is assigned a code that enables the seamless exchange of information between people and systems.

Creative electrical moodboards
MattoBoard is an extensive material library consisting of product solutions from a large number of manufacturers. The intuitive handling allows the user to quickly create their first mood board - now also with LS 990!

Material collages are very important for designers and interior architects because they serve as a visual tool for presenting and communicating creative ideas. The collages enable a structured combination of images, colours and textures to develop a clear design direction. They promote inspiration, support decision-making and facilitate the involvement of clients. Many interior designers have an extensive archive of materials for this purpose, but sourcing and storing them is often a challenge. Not so with a digital material archive!

JUNG @ MattoBoard
MattoBoard is a design platform with a virtual material archive that makes it possible to create photorealistic material collages in a fraction of the time and cost previously required. Obtaining extensive product and material samples in advance of sampling is no longer necessary. With MattoBoard, 3D material collages can be created quickly and intuitively using Drag & Drop. For the creation of individual mood boards, JUNG provides the entire colour variety of the LS 990 switch range. The JUNG switches can be combined with over 1,000 materials and products.

Simply 3D
Plan electrical equipment three-dimensionally with pCon to match the furnishing concept. Discover the LS 990 switches, sockets and other solutions now also in the pCon community.

JUNG is now a member of the pCon community. The software makes it possible to edit or create new floor plans, place furniture, select materials, surfaces and colours and add lighting scenarios and electrical control units. To do this, users can integrate and edit their own CAD data in pCon.planner and add configurable manufacturer-specific 3D models from the online catalogue. In addition to a colour and material-accurate representation in 2D and 3D for renderings and room animations, the JUNG data sets also enable and facilitate actual electrical planning in the floor plan.

With the digital information on the switches and sockets, JUNG is the first manufacturer in the electrical industry to expand the pCon community. The tool creates synergies in the digital space and facilitates collaboration between interior designers and electrical experts.
