Friends of Hue – overview of the benefits

Friends of Hue operate how and where you want. Regardless of the existing electrical installation, the JUNG Friends of Hue transmitter can be mounted on walls and smooth surfaces by either screwing on or sticking on. You also have the freedom to set up functions how you want it - each button of the radio transmitter can be individually assigned with functions. You can control individual luminaires or groups of lamps, entirely up to your needs. If new luminaires are added, simply extend the button assignment.

Without cables or batteries

JUNG radio transmitters for Philips Hue work according to the principle of “energy harvesting”. As only small amounts of energy are needed to transmit the wireless signals, the kinetic energy generated from the act of pressing the switch is sufficient to operate the transmitter, not requiring batteries and is thus maintenance-free.

Mounted fast and neatly

The radio transmitters are virtually maintenance-free. With the help of the adhesive pad on the supporting frame, mounting can be easily done depending on the surface. The accessories are included in the delivery.

Smooth surfaces with the adhesive pad

The radio transmitters are ideally suited for existing electrical installations. With the adhesive pad supplied, installers can attach them to smooth surfaces easily and without additional installation effort.

Cavity wall or flush-mounted boxes

For mounting in a flush-mounted box, installers screw the supporting frame under the switch. Insert the transmitter module, frame and push-button onto the supporting frame afterwards, and the radio transmitter is fitted securely.

Smart lighting with Philips Hue

Philips Hue is the worldwide leading smart LED lighting system for living spaces. The wireless system includes lights, light strips, spotlights and lamps, and can be controlled via the app, switches, or voice commands. With the Philips Hue lighting system, illumination can be transformed into an extraordinary experience and used in a completely new way.

As partners

Together with lamp manufacturer Signify (previously Philips Lighting), we develop certified components for the smart lamps from Philips Hue. Our radio transmitters work with ZigBee and are official partner products of Friends of Hue. They integrate seamlessly into the manufacturer’s lighting system and are even compatible with the Apple HomeKit using the Hue Bridge.

Linking switches and luminaires

Once set up in the Philips Hue app, the wall transmitters are able to emulate the same level of control as with a smartphone or tablet.

1. Connect the transmitter with the Hue Bridge

A long press on the button on the bottom right starts the synchronisation. The radio transmitter then connects to the Phillips Hue Bridge.

2. Assign room

After integration, the radio transmitter must be assigned to the room in which Philips Hue luminaires will be controlled.

3. Specify function

After the wall transmitter has been linked to the luminaires, various functions can be assigned to the buttons.

4. Customise the controller

The light system from Philips Hue offers numerous options, from the light colour to specifying light scenes, which you can set after completing the configuration.

In JUNG switch ranges for a better way of living
