Graphite Apartment, Kyiv | Ukraine
Functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics were the inspiration for the design of the Graphite Apartment in Kyiv by Bezmirno Architects. In an area of 175 m², a master bedroom with dressing room, two children's rooms, a spacious kitchen with living room, a small office and two bathrooms are arranged. A feature of the apartment is a separate dressing room, which lies as in island in the entrance area of the apartment. The room flow within the surface area is ensured by leaving out unnecessary doors and separating walls.
The main space of the apartment is the kitchen with an island, dining area and a large sofa corner. The walls covered with ash veneer and natural slate tiles contrast with the specially chosen light-coloured furniture and the accented directional light. The generous glass facade allows plentiful daylight in, which provides the room with a functional but also aesthetic atmosphere. A private office gives the possibility of working at home in peace. The bedroom stands symbolically for elegant beauty. Ash veneer and saturated grey colour nuances along with a private dressing room and en-suite bathroom identify the independent, private area. The design of the children's rooms is analogous to this. Veneered, machined and painted panels in light colours cover the walls. Workspaces integrated into the furniture visually zone the functions. This separates the functions from each other thanks to a visual separation, without disrupting the room atmosphere.
The equipment with switches and sockets from the LS 990 range in the dark colour follows the desired credo of understatement. Due to its reduced design language and the classic colours, the aesthetic basic idea of reduction and consciously set accents that catch the eye runs right into the detail. In this way, a timeless, elegant space arises that is characterised by the choice of materials and the colours.

LS 990 in Dark aluminium
A prestigious interior derives its appeal from exclusive effects. The design switches in high-grade metal versions satisfy this standard outstandingly well. Cool stainless steel, aluminium or attractive anthracite, chrome or precious gold plating – they lend a special touch wherever the emphasis is on the extra-special. Two variations of genuine brass complement the portfolio: Classic with a bright, softly polished finish, antique suitable for traditional interiors.
